Why do you not want to accept that "Good music's era is over"?

It has gone forever. Was a part of the history, a sweet part and won't be repeated. New tasteless comers with their insensible DAWs have spoiled the music.:deep_facepalm:

Today finding good music is almost impossible, harder than discovering a new continent. DAWs and good music are in contradiction to each other. You must select just one of them and I previously know what the most choices are.

If you can't find "good music" today, then I hate to break it to you, but the problem is you.

There's probably more great music being made now than at any time in history, yes there is far more crap too, but that's inevitable given that the barriers to creation and distribution have been eliminated.

Choose a modern artist or track you do like, go to the Spotify radio station for that track/artist. Problem solved.

You think the problem is with me not being able to find? But I think the music isn't the commodity for the modern world. Modern ears can not distinguish the differences. It's just one of the consequences.

I think its related to being able to make all the music on your own- ..there's no humanity in agreeing with yourself?

There's lots of good stuff out there but no more radio, which was the connection thread- ..most of the alliance and reciprocity of making music has surely lost a lot of its luster.. more than once I've cursed dedicating my life to it but there are other avenues friend, dig deeper..

Foster, regarding your never ending spamming around this same topic, this jealous obsession of yours

there are hundreds of great music pieces released every week, I know because I've worked as a radio station music programmer for several years and the amount of quality is constant, so you are full of shit again, as always. where do you search for quality? commercial radio? lol

we already know you can't play music, don't have the talent or capacity to do so, so what?
its not a crime, just because you can't make music won't stop other musicians to continue, some will make mediocre pieces other great tracks.

it doesn't matter how many hundreds stupid threads you post repeating this same childish mantra of yours.

go back to the humour section, its there where you at least have a remote chance to make a difference.

It's true guys. When I installed my DAW, it put a gun to my head and threatened, "You'd better not make any good music using me, or else". Sadly, I complied.

    Well... Oh my...
I remember the critics saying the very same thing about Disco and also Punk Rock and New Wave in the late 70s. I recall reading my country's most famed "modern music" mag that had a "readers' letters section" and someone wrote one of the best quotes ever imho. He said: "Thank you for all the negative reviews on albums and EPs/singles, i can finally rest assure i 've made an awesome record collection, just by buying everything you don't like".
And then it was the 80s, critics forwarned it would be the start of the end - or whatever. Supposedly Madonna was the end of all things that made "good music" good. And what do you know, didn't happen lol. The 80s went by, leaving a tonful of music gems.
And then it was the 90s and rave, house, techno, trance and dnb were taking the world by storm but for the critics again it was just bad because of course production values were practically non existent. Those tracks weren't even made in proper studios. Few of those artists even had an album released. Most mainstream music press had no affiliates since the majority of these were on indie labels that were popping up by the hundreds from nowhere but everywhere around the globe.
And then it was the 2ks and the downfall of the music industry as we knew it was at hand, so this should mean good music would exist no longer as expressed by many, time and time again in Billboard, Rolling Stone, Keyboard magazine, even fkn MixMag lol. But again it didn't happen.
Because after all these years the only thing that's worth mentioning, is now, there is a shtload more music available for us to listen to. And this may lead to some confusion, how do you separate the good from the rotten apples so to speak, etc etc. Easily. Just by eliminating anything you don't like from the equation. When i was young we would spend hours on the radio pirate stations waiting for the dj to play that particular new track they would spin every day so we can press rec on the tape recorder and have the track on tape to overplay the thing 50 times a day lol.
Nowadays, we have a vast selection of millions of tracks but meh good music is no longer a thing? You aren't looking hard enough. Try again.

I don't accept it because it's just simply not true. There is still great music out there in every genre you are just looking for them in the wrong place - if you are looking for them at all.
The internet is great but it's also very noisy (noise as redundant information). You have to filter out the crap. It's like a jungle full of trees and plants but if you are willing to cut down these obstacles you will have a clean way to reach the treasure. That applies to everything basically in this age of information.
If you don't find music you like then you don't care enough or just lazy to look for good ones.
There are gazillions of good songs and artists out there for you to find, but it's up to you to look for them. You have to keep an open mind and explore all sorts of genres even the ones you hate. Give chance to small/independent/bedroom artists too. Ignore reviews and form your own opinions.
When I was a teenager I was a so called "metalhead" and restricted myself only to rock, punk and metal because every other music sucks, etc you know how it is being an edgy teenager. Then one day I just said fuck it, I listen to whatever I like and I don't care what other people say, so I explored many types of music then realized I like dnb, hardstyle, hardcore techno, witch house, jazz, opera, and all sort of experimental stuff that's far from metal.
That's the beauty of music, there are just so many styles and variations out there it's incredible.
Since it became a whole lot easier to make music than it was like 20 years ago - obviously the count of low-quality shit has increased but so did the good ones.

So are you willing to give a chance to undiscovered music and are you brave enough to explore?
No - then keep on crying and bitching
Yes - then good luck and chances are high you will find something you like. But this is your own journey and don't let others dictate you what is good and what is bad. Ignore reviews and don't be afraid to explore small/new artists and inspire them as much as you can. Even a good word can be motivating.

Pupularity does not equal with quality, remember that.

The music that I bang to is good enough for me to make the day better and I find those on an ongoing basis.
As people change, so does society and the their creations.

Maybe the problem is that people more oftenly than ever create music for the sake of just doing it instead of having an inspiring reason, a story to tell that goes beyond that boring relationship drama crap 80% of music is about.

The energy drive and emotions put into a song is what makes it unique or just another mix of noises.
