this said, I don't get why eric persing hasn't created a light version of omnisphere to compete with all these A.N.A, Spire, Serum yet...
keeping the same functionalities but with a lighter steam folder and even optional genre oriented soundpacks, buy & rent-to-own options would totally make sense nowadays, even if he kept the full version for the music & movie industry pros... but whatever

rent-to-own would be a reason for me to avoid software entirely. also for me renting a software isn't "owning".

While watching this I always had the feeling of "is he using different synths and then have an animation of the gui on top of it to make it look legit?" I don't know. Why go through all of this hassle just to put out a fake product video?

If the plan is to sell preset pack after that yes, it is. Also 300 000 paid customers is better advertise than 30 000. If he sells his synth 100$, he wouldn't have so much attention and would need to invest more in communication to reach those 30 000. Sure 3 000 000 is better than 300 000 but having 300 000 potential customers on a mailing list with everyone attention worth more than 30 000 potential customers with just a limited attention. I didn't say it's better money on the launch, I said it's a better business plan
