    Hello @all!
How you guys doing? Hope just fine.

Dudes, i'm remixing Ramp Daylight into some 160bpm and was wondering if any of you with a more trained ears, could spot which chord is playing on the strings that drops at 0.24s and goes sustained...

I'm not that "musical", pretty slack to say so, i've tried some Ableton Chord (midi effect) but none come closer, the closest i could get was with Arturia Solina paying a sustained single G#4 note. But still in the end i can hear the notes clashing, as it's not the right one yet, maybe some fancy chord i don't know... please HALP.

    Thank you!

It's very faint in the mix, but I don't think it is a chord. Sounds like a single note. Try the one you mentioned with a string patch.

I may be wrong, but to me it's not a G#.

It's an A, the tonic or I grade, of the track, that is A minor.
No wonder it glues so well sustainded throughout the entire track.

As already said, add chorus, and try also to add a little bit of E (dominant, or V grade) just below the A and see how is going.

P.S. I really like these kind of pieces, warming up loungy-funky.
    Good times.

I was about to come here and say that A sat (sit) better. I was uping and down a little on the near notes.

I was to bounce some loops and stuff. (I'm even trying some far out pads outside solina strings realm)

And saying that, since you also like those kinda chunes, better i not show you what i did!
    Thanks to you all.

    Asus11 - Asus11 - Bm11 - Fsus13.

You can also write the progression like...

    Em7/A - Em7/A - F#m7/B - Fmaj7/G

The sustained note on the strings is an A

    guys here's the loops,
this was while i was trying to figure which note, i've muted periods of both tracks for reference. I've muted it all just the main remixed track and the string synth, using MonoPoly tweaked string preset, let solina go...

this is the found A, thanks again for your time

And this is the full mess with some more elements UNmuted

    What you guys think?

Shout out Ableton Warp Mode, it started as a remix from a pseudo friend running a pseudo label and since im a pseudo producer, why not?? the remixed was a trap beat 140 and had just the "tan tan tannnn tantan" as A Tribe Called Quest Bonita Applebum, so i'm aimed the warp mode and marked all the track in the grid, then i liked the accel melodies that resulted, the slap bass the synths... so all left was to program the beats, i'm still fiddling it.
The note spot thing was my first ever "by ear" accomplishment even as easy as it looks, but my only experience was at 12 when had classic acoustic guitar classes, but that time i just wanted to be in a band and be a rockstar, nothing was learned... time passes and i felt comfortable with computers and FL and lots of daws through the years and here we are.

Before i get attacked for ruining a good track, my lawyer sent me this lol

(also just embedded a utube, so proud)
(edit having trouble with the zippyshare embedd, SC instead)
