As far as I know it's the same on all OS (for install). It's been awhile but I seem to recall using this on win7. It is a 32 bit plugin so you need to be able to run 32 bit. I can't run it on sonar 64 bit (probably my fav DAW), because the 32 bit bridge does not work on sonar 64. If I want to use Hypersonic I use it with reaper, which does the bridging flawlessly. I do know that sometimes it glitches on startup. I have found that if it does that, I need to go to the folder where the content is and run the program in that folder that tells the system where to find the content. Once I do that I can usually go back and run it and it will work. For some reason it seems to loose this locator setting every once in awhile. It's easy to set the location, and it usually lasts several sessions. As a matter of fact Hypersonic 2 works so well with reaper I leave reaper installed just for using HS2. Likewise reaper works very well with sound canvas. I have been working with Halion 6 recently too. H6 is very powerful, but HS2 is close behind it in my book. I love steinberg products.

Some 8dio kontakt libs come with 96Khz samples. It's more a RAM hog but also a CPU one. I wonder if it's the case with that one.
    What was the topic again?

    And yeah, G.Carlin rules!

Oh @Trurl Guess what? I was talking out of my arse.
I just checked and it was actually Organ 3 by LinPlug, not GSi VB3! And I guess the brain cell was triggered by the mention of SaxLab earlier.
    My apologies.
Organ 3 was like a synth, not an organ. I have no idea why it's still on my drive. Plus I don't think I ever tried VB3. :deep_facepalm:

I didn't say anything when you thought the VB3 was trash because there's no accounting for taste. To me it's really good. I'm not the greatest keyboard player, but check this fellow out taking it out for a drive.

@crematorium Hopefully now you've found Prominy, Ample Sound, and Orange Tree Samples for guitar?
    If not, there you go!
They're all brilliant, but in different ways.

Ima kinda relieved that @Smoove Grooves wasn't talking about (lovely) VB3, for some reason!

Feel like ima being triggered, but German isn't a race! It's just (?) xenophobia / nationalism. (Maybe? Don't have the data) Which isn't much less stupid. But a lil bit less stupid, cos you can choose nationality I guess. I do find it slightly amusing that the word for pardon / sorry has twice as many syllables (enschuligung) in German! Anything to make politeness more difficult! In fairness, English has ridiculously long words like floccinaucinihilipilification, antidisestablishmentarianism & supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. All words that serve zero actual purpose, other than to take the mickey out of the language, and compounds. English is a mongrel language, and doesn't really come from anywhere except smashing a load of half-baked stuff together with zero rules, btw.

The 2 first VSTis ever, VB-1 and Model E, without a doubt. I was terribly unimpressed at the time already.

Speaking of guitar VSTs that suck: RealGuitar. All of them. No matter how many times they update it (have they ever updated the actual samples from the original? and smear more lipstick on it.

And for fucks sake, take the racism butthurt somewhere private, please.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious would be a great name for a vst instrument that's sole purpose would be to play that one long English made up word in both both Dick Van Dyck and Julie Andrew's voices and could be stacked to create harmony. Who said that the German language has the lock on long winded words (there's also Um-dittle-ittl-um-dittle-I, but it may be just a strung sequence of nonsense). This instrument would then qualify as the worst plugin ever (see how I kinda covered my bases to stay relevant to this thread!).
