There really are a lot of them. I've tried things that do nothing. I could say that old people are bad, but they're not. Like @trackforce said in that time of the first vst and sf2. They were amazing things for that time. Of course, if you compare an sf2 to a state of the art instrument there is no comparison. But at that time it was a great thing. I don't know if to say "bad vst" but something that I don't see sense (for me) is the fruty dance.

Worst Hammond attempt I tried was the GSi VB3/VB3-II. Sorry, GSi!
Best Hammond is still really the NI B4 II, but since it stayed at 32Bit, which isn't brilliant for me, it now has to be the partnership between IKM and Hammond themselves with the Hammond B-3X. It's awesome.
Aaand I prefer it to the 8Dio Vintage Studio Organ. Such a cpu hog.

I also dare to say that companies like "waves" release plugins sometimes just to bring a new one to market. They put a new color on it and there's already a new wave plugin. I don't want to say that it's bad, I like waves a lot. But I think they have a lot of unnecessary plugins.

For that i like very much fabfilter. Just have the necesary ( ok not all , just fx can find in another firm ) . But dont have a 1 millon vst that we only used ...maybe 10 or 20.

Yeah, back in the day, Waves were the first good ones really, which is why all studios still have them.
Kind of links to what you were saying about "good at the time" type of thing.
But the Waves 'One Knob' plugins? :deep_facepalm: Snake-oil! lol
I still use Waves for a lot of tasks though. Particularly because I bought them, stupidly, back in the day!
Plus they still have some plugs that nobody else has done yet.

Hahaha if you're right. Now I'm starting to remember. One know was one of the first. What do you have for glitter, distortion, etc. They're still there. But yes. Waves is very good. I remember the Maserati L1 ... but it's like we say. At that time... it was glory.

    From the early middle 1970's

He's bad, bad, Leroy Brown, baddest dude in the whole damn town
Badder than old King Kong, meaner than a junkyard dog.

But if you wanted to suck on Jason's joint it would bring a whole new meaning to the sentence as well as the thread.

That's what's so fantastic about the English language, the ability to be so dang creative with usage. Take the word shit for example. In context it could mean either that something was great or conversely that it was truely awful. The same might be said if the word fuck as it can be used as an adverb, noun, adjective, etc, and as a positive or negative type of thing.

That was the best fucking shit that I ever took a poke of, the baddest of the baddest, the cream of the green. I sucked that joint down and it knocked me on my ass like Tyson in his prime...gotta go buy another dime.

im just dumb joking...we are a joke these days , so forgive me...ok audio empire is german

but btw let me tell u something , dont take this political in any way...just how it is...
the german anthem line...germany over everything in world did not mean : spread the empire...it did mean that the individual holds germany or german society over everything in life (to aim at least) ..something like that...
even germans dont get that anymore...

  10. So was the worst all time plug-in.

Cubase VST Channel Settings. There wasn't a track in the world it couldn't make sound worse.

FFS.....what is this KVR?? Plain and simple......there is no accounting for taste.....or a lack thereof.
Your ultra high gain ampsim sounds like a hive of angry bees in a coke can.....but hey, that's just me.

That being said....I'm sure there are some more utilitarian plugins that most of us can agree are poorly
    coded and sound like it.

*lol* I'm not offended And I did think VB3 II was a massive disappointment; a major step backwards. But VB3 1.4 was far and away the best organ VST by miles just by virtue of its Leslie sim until the IK organ came out and I still prefer VB3 for some applications. The organ itself sounds dull in some ways, but that can be fixed with some outboard help. It's all about the Leslie.
