Hi,

I am new here,
I am still on Snow Leopard X.6.8 and digital performer 7.24 on a macbook pro 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo .
I downloaded the Kontakt version 5.1.0.
Installed on my system and it work....
Now I want to install some libraries.....
I know my system is old, but for this moment I cannot change it..
On Native Instruments website the new libraries they say:
"Kontakt 5 and Higher....."
I cross my fingers.....

I want to know:
1. If the new library will work.
2. The procedure to install it.

Welcome.
I suggest you get 5.2.0 version of Kontakt; that is the last version that works on 10.6.8.
What library do you refer to please? I can't answer your question otherwise.

Gravity
Straylight from Native instruments..
But mostly for suspense, thriller film.

Straylight is for 6.1.
You would benefit from the original NI Komplete library for Kontakt 5 to start with, I'd say.
I must say, I don't what website you were going to that says that all new libs are for Kontakt 5+! Can't be NI website!
I'm on 6.2.1 now.
Regards loading libraries, it was all straight forward back at the time of 5.1.0/5.2.0 on Mac. Nothing to worry about.

Okay, so no Straylight for you (6.1) but Thrill is from 2017, so I'd suspect it'll be for 5.8 or something. Which is why I never had it when I was on 10.6.8 with Kontakt 5.2.0!

 

Gravity is 5.5.1+, sorry.

You're welcome. Try and get the Komplete 4? (I think!) library for Kontakt 5. It has loads of great stuff.
They have NI's version of the VSL strings too, which are very useful.
