Which libraries do you recommend for both the "standard strings" he talks about and the Bollywood strings? A huge key I learned is automating bpm and volume for swelling motions. Are there more tips for midi programming in lush and real sounding strings?

 

They sound ok.

A mixture of Hollywood and Audiobro, perhaps.

The Bollywood strings are pretty easily reproduced.

The Bollywood Symphonic Orchestra are very reasonable to hire for a track. I have to recommend them.

Either way, I'm not at home to check names, but I have 3 Kontakt string libs that are specifically Eastern/Asian/Indian and although they do the glissando thing that we hear, are not as good as what we hear in this track.

I think you want to try the Agitato bundle by 8Dio. They have the Sordino which you need, too. (You're welcome, @garfinkle!)
I disagree that Bollywood glissandos are "easily reproduced"!
