Not to be argumentative but probably any forum about anything that also has an off topic discussion forum would have.

You are absolutely wrong. There were moments of silence at sporting events when both of them died. There were tributes at major sporting events for both of them when they passed. Many sports fans like myself loved their music as well. Their songs are played at events. They both played at sporting events. And in thousands of basket ball forums (other sports as well), people expressed their sadness when we lost Bowie and Prince. Many pro athletes were good friends with Bowie and Prince. There were plenty of threads about Bowie and Prince in all sports forums. This may shock you, but sports fans listen to music too and we send our condolences where we see fit.

I do not quite understand why are you so harsh with me when I'm only trying to defend the memory of a human being (because, yes, as strange as it may seem to you, this celebrity was a human being above all) against uneducated and jealous people who shoot on his still warm corpse.
As we've just met, I need to know a bit more about the relationships you had with your parents during childhood. We gonna work on that. See you next week, same time?...

    You're right. It's hopeless.

EDIT: I'll tell you a secret: there are a lot of things I can't stand. But the very first is called injustice. That's because a large part of my life has been completely ruined because of a terrible injustice. So when I meet someone who commits one, it's stronger than me, I have to act.

Yes, and as well it doesn't mean he was guilty.
In this case the only decent thing to do is not to discuss the matter. Especially if the affected person has passed away.

    Wow.

Some of you people make me want to give up. One wonders what kind of deep insecurities must be lurking in order to feel compelled to respond to a thread like this with anything negative? Why bother?

Im not American and have no interest in sports. Id never heard of the guy. But it's pretty clear from all reports that he meant a LOT to a LOT of people and was an exceptionally talented human being. Isn't that all you need to know?

...oh, and yeah, please respond with the age-old non-intellectual response - "but....people die every day", so that you can feel smugly morally superior whilst actually appearing less than feeble.

Also our main gardener Pablo passed out two days ago, he was very loved by our large community. He left an astonishing amount of 11 kids, 30 grandchildren, and almost 70 great-grandchildren. I guess we can say Pablo meant a LOT to a LOT of people. He was an exceptionally talented human gardener but sadly not a celebrity... or a rapist. Hopefully, my insight about his life ticks enough check-boxes, since that is all-you-need-to-know to mourn him, you hear me?, thx all and RIP Pablo.

So you're insinuating that Kobe was a rapist when he was never found guilty and the whole accusation was sketchy as fuck. You and everyone like you simply lack empathy and just need an excuse to not care about anyone's life(probably not even your own) so you say shit like "people die everyday" or "omg he was a rapist" or w.e bullshit excuse you can come up with to not care. Just be real with yourself and say you don't give a fuck about human lives and you're a sorry piece of shit. No one is judging you for being an asshole, be yourself. You're a miserable person and you know what they say "misery loves company"

Rich people don't go to jail...

    "
Bryant admitted to a sexual encounter with his accuser but denied the assault allegation. The case was dropped after Bryant's accuser refused to testify in the case. A separate civil suit was later filed against Bryant by the woman. This was settled out of court and included Bryant publicly apologizing to his accuser, though admitting no guilt " (this makes no logical sense).
    "
"In March 2005, the two parties settled that lawsuit. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed to the public. The Los Angeles Times reported that legal experts estimated the settlement was more than $2.5 million"

Tell that bullshit to Epstein. He was far richer than Kobe would've ever been.

    ???
He died, because he was crazy pedo. that could potentially discredit other rich pedos/ "influential" figures. I don't see the connection (aside from both being rapists - on different scales, of course).

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeffrey_Epstein#Civil_cases
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeffrey_Epstein#Second_criminal_case
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeffrey_Epstein#Interest_in_eugenics_and_transhumanism

"According to various sources, Epstein, beginning in the early 2000s, showed a strong interest in improving the human race through genetic engineering and artificial intelligence, including using his own sperm. :)rofl:) He addressed the scientific community at various events and occasions and communicated his fascination with eugenics.[251] It was reported in August 2019 that Epstein had planned to "seed the human race with his DNA" by impregnating up to 20 women at a time using his New Mexico compound as a "baby ranch" :)rofl:), where mothers would give birth to his offspring. He was an advocate of cryonics and his own idiosyncratic version of transhumanism, and had said that he intended to have his penis and head frozen." :)rofl:)

Edit: Something funny from the same wiki article:
"A document filed in court alleges that Epstein ran a "sexual abuse ring", and lent underage girls to "prominent American politicians, powerful business executives, foreign presidents, a well-known prime minister, and other world leaders""

No, this is how our modern law works. Everyone is to be considered innocent until proven guilty.*

What we demand for ourselves as a matter of course, we should grant to everyone else, whether famous or not.
Everything else is simply indecent, even if this has unfortunately become standard practice.
Some suspect the woman of unfairness, others suspect the man of mistreatment - and of course everything without any concrete evidence.

*Think about that the next time you come in contact with a cop or other law enforcement people.
