    Hi guys,

Beside IDM, which free download manager (2020) would have the same casual usage as IDM? I know each software have its own extra features, but I am a really casual user, just need something like IDM, click the link and it automatically downloads via the manager.

I have done some search, and I found a few that get my attention, but I'm not sure which one would be the simplest to use.

    -JDownloader
    -Eagleget
    -free download manager

I'm looking for something with no ads, ease on CPU, also well integrated with a browser such as Vivaldi. Also if it can download torrent would be a plus, so I can skip using utorrent.

Hope your experience and opinion could help me

p/s: IDM is great, the best and I know there is K'ed version, but let's skip that for now.

JDownloader is a beast and free. A bit CPU and RAM hungry compared to IDM because it's written in Java.

    Pros:
    - It's the best. Period. Including Youtube downloading.

    Cons:
    - A bit difficult for beginners. You say casual use, so it might not be worth it for you
    - No torrents
    - No website downloading (html stuff)

Kd versions of software that are only useful if they are connected represent a big risk.

JDownloader is by far the best if you accept its limits pointed by Xupito

    It's easy to use.

most browsers have advanced download manager addons, maybe that would be the right choice for you.
