I install according to the mac r2r text. i tried this with the TH-3 and TH-U COMPLETE, both r2r releases with the same results. overloud.com blocked already. use the keygen which shows a success message. I run the app by first time, Th3 / Th-U is authorised. Every time I restart the program reverts to the 10 minute demo.
Any advice?

My system is Mojave 10.14.6.
Same problem here with the version 1.1.6 of TH-U from R2R.
I am real mad because the 1.1.4 was working pretty well and now it does not at all.
Even after a perfectly clean install (from what I know).
I have no idea what can cause it, I imagine Overloud found a way to protect better and R2R crackers did not see it.

If anyone on MAC succeeded in working with TH-U 1.1.6, I'd like to know how they did.

Otherwise, let's wait and see.

 

It's simple. Remove any previous folders or plugins /Library/Application Support/Overloud/TH-U
/Users/Your Name/Library/Application Support/Overloud/TH-U
/Library/Audio/Plugins/Components or VST/TH-U
Go to System prefs/Network/Advanced/Hardware.
There in lies your MAC address copy it.
past it into the keygen and remove all colons.
Generate the Mac version of the license " THm3.ol2 ". Put the license into ( you guessed it )
/Users/Your Name/Library/Application Support/Overloud/TH-U
restart your Mac and ..........it works. Oh make sure you choose TH-U 1.16 in the keygen

 

I second @Jim Bob's advice. I recently migrated to a new(er) MBP and just installed TH-U 1.1.6 over my older TH-U v1.1.4 install. TH-U didn't stop working, but it wouldn't let me add any new rig libraries. The Overloud licenses all require a Mac address, and mine was apparently bad. I don't recall having to throw out the entire TH-U folder, but I did have to throw out the license, then re-authorize TH-U with a new one that has my current Mac address.

I consider myself quite a power user of Mac but I could not make it work and now it does, so a major thank you.

Here are the steps I've added to my other failed attempts (for what it's worth) and thanks to @Jim Bob for making me focus on every steps and being thorough.

Before the install

• I was pretty much more thorough with the uninstallation process (removing every trace of TH-U from my MAC),
• I rebooted after uninstalling everything,
• I turned off my wi-fi connection and just kept the Ethernet one (and thus I chose to use the MAC address of my Ethernet connection in the Keygen),

After the install

• I went to /Users/Your Name/Library/Application Support/
• I created Overloud/TH-U/ because the folders did not exist after the installation,
• I copied the THmU.ol2 there like stated by @Jim Bob,
• I also made a copy of the file and pasted it into /Library/Application Support/Overloud/TH-U for what it's worth,
• I rebooted the Mac.

I was more thorough to follow the process this time but in my previous failed attempts, i always missed the copy of THmU.ol2 into /Users/Your Name/Library/Application Support/Overloud/TH-U and that must be the key point.

Then I cut all Internet Connexion before I launched Live and used the VST version of TH-U (all functional).
Then I turned on my 2 internet connexions (Wifi and Ethernet), launched Live and used the VST3 (this time) version of TH-U (all functional).

I am using Overloud TH-U Complete 1.1.6 R2R. On install ( after removing all traces of the previous version ) I chose only Audio Unit Plugin and nothing else. For me the installer did create a TH-U folder in the /Users/Library/Application Support/Overload/folder. I am in Logic Pro X 10.4.8, High Sierra. But I use Little Snitch for blocking and have used it for many years.
Without Little Snitch I can't promise it will work. If you feel I've left anything out please let me know.

 

Strange. Especially as your Machine Address was accepted for your prior 1.1.4 install.

 

In the Overloud TH-U Folder: The IR folder,midi.xml, preferences.xml, presets.db, Rig Models folder
These items should have installed in your Overload folder from the installer.
Check your Installer with Pacifist. Some times I pull the individual pkgs. from there to the desktop and install what I need.
Keep trying to you get the TH-U folder. The rest is easy.

 

Like I said, I just migrated to a different computer. All my machine ID-based registrations went bad (I won't even get started on the hoops I had to jump through to re-register my k'd VFX software, which is a lot more difficult to install than the audio stuff, for some reason). It probably wouldn't have gone quite as badly if I'd just restored from a Time Machine backup, but I wanted clean system software on my new machine, so I migrated during the OS install instead.

 

Just made a little discovery. I thought i had blocked the overloud-domain with little snitch, but turned out i had made a spelling mistake. I followed the procedure described in this thread. When wifi was off, it worked fine, but when i turned it on it went into demo mode again by removing the THmU.ol2 file from /Users/Your Name/Library/Application Support/Overloud/TH-U . I tried turning off the internet again, and copied the file back, and TH-U worked again. After debugging and finding my spelling error, all was good. So if someone by a mistake ends up in demo mode, you just need to copy that file back into the TH-U folder and it should work. No need to uninstall and do all kind of steps to get it to work.

 

Hello guys,

After a few hours of searching and tweaking, i finally got my THU working on my Hackintosh.

I'm having trouble installing the libraries tough. I drag and drop the .riglib file into the standalone app, but it asks me for serial number (wich is not in the R2R containing folder), and I can't find a serial or keygen for libraries anywhere.

Can anyone tell me how to get the libraries out of demo mode?
