Hi everyone.

I've recently taken up lessons with a producer who has agreed to show me the ins and outs of his working process, which I'm hoping will give me a good foundation to eventually make my own music. I wanted to start by asking him some questions, and thought I'd make this thread and ask you guys..

If you could to ask your favourite producer one question about (how they make) their music, what would it be?

Hopefully i can put these questions to him and get his perspective on the topics involved.

i whould say : be honest , your mixing/master engineer does all the work , innit ?

It's a hard question to answer without knowing a whole lot about your skill level. I'm with @electriclash, initially bring a notebook and do a whole lot of listening.
