Speed reading these replies, the answer is obvious.

1. One mans trash is another mans treasure.

2. No one is forcing you to DL everything, use your discretion.

3. The sister site is well navigated using the sidebar to find things in your particular category of need or daw or os.

4. You are free to read the comments on the offering, AND you can also look at what has been upvoted and not. That helps.

I really don't know how they could make this more simple in a world of highly subjective needs and desires.

The filter (subcategories) system sucks. It sucks because some suppliers don't tag their releases honestly: for instance, most samples packs are tagged as instruments in order to give them better chance of being seen and therefore downloaded ---> more money generated. Others releases are erroneously tagged by simple distraction. That's a fact, and mocking me with your silly purple jokes will not make you looks like the Prince of the gag.

The sister site seems same as it ever was to me... a ratio of about 20 stupid things to 1 interesting thing, give or take. If it was ever not so those must have been halcyon days gone by, indeed. I have a touch screen so I use my finger to scooooooooooll past the stuff I have no interest in to the stuff I do have interest in. Works pretty well.
