Hello all, I've recently acquired a new 3TB external hard drive, upgrading from my 1TB. I have dozens of libraries between my laptops drive and my 1TB external, but I'd like to move them all onto the 3TB. I know I could tediously move each one and relocate it through Kontakt, but after trying that with just one, it's giving me more issues than I anticipated. Is there an easier way to go about this? I've tried searching for solutions, but can't seem to find a clear answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you all in advance!

 

All you do is move them, then when you open a library Kontakt will ask you to locate the files. Simple. Takes seconds.
I don't know what your "issues" are?
You say "tediously move each one", but why not select them all and do them all at the same time?

 

just change replace the drive letter

 

And Kontakt will still ask where the files are when you try to load a library.

 

Oh yeah, great advice mate, if OP has like 20+ libraries he can load ecah one seperately, relocate and repeat 20+ times.

Or he could literally copy the structure of his libraries as is to the 3tb, and switch drive paths. F=Old drive, G=New 3tb drive

F:/Kontakt Libraries/ ----> G:/Kontakt Libraries/

Change G:/ to F:/ path in windows, then it literally loads as normal. I've literally done this many times. Unless you want to have to open all your libraries and relocate them a bunch of times the Smoove Groove way. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Let's hope the op uses Kontakt on a pc. I use Kontakt on a Mac.
