is there any usability/performance difference between the releases of these two groups?
does one work/load faster than the other?
currently using waves plugins i own, but hell im not gonna pay every year to upgrade... thats stupid.
so im going to use one of the teams releases, the thing is i saw R2R one is kinda old
anything to consider here or these work the same?

 

V.R. Easier to upgrade if there's a new one.

R2R cleaning the code and make's it work batter then the original, he doing the job more then amazing i saw all his work
he is the top of the top , but it doesn't mean V.R is the worst because R2R many time using V.R way !
but now about the Waves Complete R2R doesn't make it load faster but rather he just make it as
the same way as you active it as a legal !

 

i use both r2r and vr 11 mixed on win7
i use the old shell64 from r2r to extract the vst from waveshells

 

Yes and whichever version you prefer to use it appears you can easily add any new Waves release by installing it (as demo) through Waves Central and activating by means of the V.R patcher.

 

why is the mac version 9 gig while pc is only 3 or 5 gig?
what about that version a couple of weeks ago, got deleted within minutes?

 

You can probably bet that the R2R version doesn't have a bunch of lower/upper case changes for no reason all over the directories & dlls, extra directories & spelling mistakes

This was asked before, and I still think it's one area that VR is doing it better than R2R.

I just download and use waves central with a throw away account, do an online install and select exactly what I want and install. Use the patch afterwords and everything is perfect.

Some people are opposed to using official programs, but I find it the most convenient way to install Waves products. The latest Waves Central made it real easy to update to v11 and clean out all the old v10 plugs.

Ah, there are one or two things in that 2gig vst collection that are pretty good

 

Yup, you can go through the entire list and grab what you want, separate plugins or the bundles, it's all in there.

Yeah... R2R's latest Waves release is more than 6 months old and so far there's no sign of new one. Maybe they dropped it so it's time to move on with V.R patch...

 

i wonder where they are, probably still boasting about their WIBU crack but cracking useless WIBU protected vsts, lol. no Reason, no care.

 

VR seems to release more frequently, and I've been temped but have stuck with R2R since it's always worked and there's too many Waves plugins scattered through my projects to risk something going wrong.

 

Get the plugin alliance bundle instead and thank me later
