...yeah, i always move them to one folder aswell in vst as vst3, the file management is the least awful, for vst3 there is no option to unpack in another folder so inthere is always a mess, along with many devs doing the same. As for performance AA needs to do something about, otherwise many potential coustomers will stay away, i did not see performance increase in their updates...

currently, it's the most CPU intensive plugin I ever saw, it even tops Zynaptic plugins

It actually got "worse" with the latest update. The behavior of the plugs is better but it comes at the cost of CPU.
Also have a dedicated folder for my AA plugs, cause, yes, it's a mess.

    :rofl::yes:

That's very weird. I'm wondering if it's a 32/64 bit thing. Hard to say without knowing more about your system. The fact that it happens with multiple DAW's has me scratching my head. AMD or Intel? Of course I've run Acustica stuff on either with no problems.
If it were me, I'd do a Windows reinstall on a scratch HDD and just install the DAW, and a trial version of something Acustica (so you don't use up an authorization slot in Celestial) and see if it'll scan it then. That would tell you if it were an issue with your installation, which is what I believe it to be.
I wonder if you've got a service disabled that Acustica relies on.

Not on principle. I could easily install and use it on Win7 Reaper (64bit, ofc).

well i dont crack software, but ill keep my position that if their mothers lives were at stake, R2R could find a way to defeat N4 and any other AA protections.

Thanks for the leak, cos thats as far as i went into that territory.
I did like N3 and the expansions leaked around, and went to check on their site what the new version is up to! = 400eur.. for a freaking emulation engine, which i could possibly get past, BUT THEN i see i will need their bloatware dogshit aquarius software to go legit and i said noooo fkn way jose.

so yes, i am holding out hope that their server based protection gets smited to hell and is just another notch on R2R's heavyweight belt.

  9. Delay

    Delay Guest

True, Now I'm testing 10.5.5, and I'm really surprised, lot faster and no single issue so far. The most stable version so far after version 5
But, cubase app alone 600MB but 20+ GB samples... why??? Just to try demo you need to download 21GB. Oh man :woot:, and it's time to burn the dongles! :guru:

Update: after 5 days testing found 2 bugs, one with sampler and second with multitap delay...

As far as I see no one cares, as long as it's free. I deleted it after the first second. Nichts ist umsonst!

    Obviously
I would be careful to talk about the mother of someone who knows how to carry out technical attacks :winker:

  11. I wouldn't be surprised to find the people complaining about its CPU usage are putting it on the master buss of a 56 track session with nine plugins on every channel. Export your stereo mix and just use Celestial. Then be glad you didn't fork out three thousand bucks for an SSL Fusion.

About a year ago I created 2 plugin chains for Logic Pro X to emulate the SSL Fusions signal flow as an experiment. One with commercial plugins, one with freeware as an experiment.

Anybody else who does not like the way how AA handles their plugin installations?

    1 Plugin Component = 350 mb
10 Files in the Components Folder
AND a Subfolder with additional 380+ Files

They could have hidden that all inside the .component instead.

    This is ridiculous.

I had this issue with Gold and Gold2. Haven't tested Gold3 fully except to make certain it would instantiate after installing it. I didn't have this issue with Navy2, however. I think everything they have updated to the new core should not exhibit this behavior. Results likely would vary depending on the strength of your PC.

The small ones. They can go up to more than 1GB.

  18. And who exactly is forcing you to use these ridiculous plugins? I choose to use them sparingly on source material where their benefit is appreciated. It never ceases to amaze me that some companies have so many people who hate their product, yet they must be using it or how would they know how bad it is?

No, I haven't actually. This was just a personal experiment back in the day to understand how the signalflow of the SSL Fusion and the concepts behind it works and if it would be possible to accomplish something similar with existing plugins. It was never meant to be a serious ting. But I am pretty sure the chains would hold up okay as far as sound quality is concerned and would probably use only a 20th of the CPU Power of what Celestial requires - which is no big surprise :D
