Mate just release the skins, let people use them and try them, and i'm pretty they'll give you more than enough feedback to perfect your skins.

More complicated? My man, it literally says "OFF; OUT; IN" on the damn knob lmao. If that's complicated for you then idk what to tell you.

Plus, the original had a single button for three functions; in what world is that less complicated than a knob for the same purpose? Buttons should never be used for more than 2 functions, period.

 

This button is for punching it in when recording automation by hitting the mouse button quick. You can't do that with a knob! PERIOD. Maybe think about the function of certain elements thoroughly before you bring in your graphic design ideas into audio related issues. You are ruining automation punch-in this way. That's why it's called punch-in and not twist knob!

You literally still have to cycle through each mode with the button. The button by default has three functions of which you have to cycle through with a separate click. There is ZERO difference from using a knob or a button in this scenario since in each case you need to cycle through all modes. If I'm on the 1st function and i want to get to the 3rd function, i still have to click the button once to get into the 2nd function, then another to get to the 3rd; it's the same exact case for the knob.

If it's so hard for you to quickly turn a knob then you should get your nerves checked out. It's actually easier to use a knob in this case since I can very quickly switch to the 3rd function from the 1st with a single click, whereas with a button, I can't get to the 3rd function without clicking an extra time. A button is ONLY ever more efficient when there is only 2 functions. PERIOD.

The bus compressor will now show the VU on and off when I release the update.

 

I am also working on a ventage skin as well and the vu will show on and off also. If I can figure out how the changing skins feature works like in the new updated R Vox I'll release it. I am working on that. This is just a mock up at the moment!

This reply makes me doubt that you have any experience in audio production and recording automation at all... Are you intellectually incapable of understanding the fundamental differece of hitting a mouse button vs. holding it and movind the mouse to virtually turn the knob? If that's the case I'm dobe arguing with you - it's pointless since I don't plan to use any custom skins anyway.

Dude this is some incredible work. I don't use Wave plugins but f* me this looks great. To me the first SSL Compressor was the best tho. I always wondered of do you guys have the patience to do this kind of stuff.
Anyway keep it up !!

 

I like your GUI but I prefer with knobs "in front" and NOT in perspective. I hate the SSL Navite GUI. Thanks.
