Hey there. Ive been mucking around with one of these little guys and I think it's absolutely terrific. Good clean/dirt/metal sounds and the bass sounds are pretty sweet too.

I really hate having to setup a whole rig to record electric, but I equally hate the sound of all of the amp simulated plugins.

Anyone tried to record with a THR and if so, via what method (there are 3) and what did you think of the results?

    Thanks in advance.

PS - I wrote "midi" in the thread title but i clearly meant USB. Doh.

From what i know, THR series are all built around being a soundcard, so Probably yes, but if you ask, id always advice against it, use a Soundcard, and use the THR as a whole setup.

PS, amp sims have come a long way, just finished working a song, i'll send it to you in private.

I don't know what you mean by "use the THR as a whole setup".

Thanks for the track - I think the amp sims work in that kind of genre, but I guess Im looking for less driven, cleaner blues sounds.I've yet to find an amp sim that can pull that off successfully.

Whole setup being, amp and cab+mic.

I have never worked with Blues sounds, but from what i know Scuffham sim, makes wonders, or check the late Additions to TH-U, give it a go before hitting the "buy" button.
