Hello!
I know there are already other threads about this subject, but i wanted to start i new one since new NI updates have new surprises!

I just bought a Maschine Mikro MK3, but i have a cracked Kontakt Portable (6.2.1) with a few libraries, Battery 4 & Massive, and im using them in important projects, so obviously i don't wanna lose them (to demo mode).

*Windows 10 - Ableton Live 10.1.6*

- Will me installing a legit Maschine interfere with anything? Will any problems arise?
- Can i just do a normal install of Maschine via Native Access and it will load Kontakt, Massive... as a VST and all good ?
- Should i install cracked version of Maschine and all good?
Any other clean options?

I didn't want to install it until i get a clear answer from you guys,

A portable Kontakt will not interfere with anything, same with the libraries ..because it is PORTABLE - it doesn't write anything to the registry, so the program and libs will not show in Native Access.

It depends.. e.g. is your Battery 4 legit? That will show in Native Acc. etc.

What Kontakt? The portable will work like it did before.. the "player" only with legit libraries. Massive is a part of Maschine bundle, so it will register/work just fine.

Again, your choice.. the only way to use "shared" exp packs and avoid NAcc. (might be wrong, not a Maschine expert)

Well, IMHO (really) and to the OP, I might be wrong (can't check, everything NI legit on this comp), I will say it again - It depends..
e.g.
Cracked Kontakt (parent) can take any library "..legit, not legit, copy a friend bought.." without any further action.
whereas
Cracked Reaktor (parent) from let's say latest r2r batch will NOT work with a "..legit, not legit, copy a friend bought.." synths without further acton - in fact without having a synth provided by r2r (if it's patched, otherwise it can be from other source) BUT - keygened w/ the kg included, specific for that synth.

There are other releases, but giving an example.. please, correct me if I'm wrong.

Is this true??? I've not installed a k'd Kontakt in a while....as all my other NI stuff is legit. But I'm debating on uninstalling Native Access and trying this out....

 

You can block Native Access with firewalls and install Kontakt. If you need to use NA, remove the the firewalls, move the Kontakt folders from their installed location to your desktop and return them when you're done. Don't worry yourself about what Native Access says about "DEMO" and all that.

I don't even move the folders to use Native Access but my configuration may be different from yours.

[Edited] In terms of the current state of cracks and assuming you aren't looking for old versions of NI plugins firewalls are unnecessary

@HorusAnd "Can" is not equal to "Should".
That being said. My Maschine and Komplete installs have lost plugin registration because they were not firewalled and I loaded one while online and because they act as a host to all other NI plugins it ends up affecting all of them. This doesn't happen anymore with my current config even while online but we all have different setups and I have no idea what ports of yours are open or what's set to update automatically so my advice to stay offline while using was meant to be the lowest common denominator. Play it safe. Regardless of if there's any danger.
I kinda like your style though. Run through the streets naked, regardless of if they see you. Sounds like me.

You won't be able to use Maschine Expansions unless they are legit.

If you bought Maschine hardware which comes with Massive, yes, that will work. Inside Maschine and Komplete, Kontakt Player will work fine with FREE libraries but any library that requires full-on Kontakt will be in DEMO mode until k'd.

My stuff is (mostly) legit but yes, this is what I did. K'd Maschine's ScanApp is so much faster especially offline. 4-5 seconds for Maschine to load with more plugins installed than any of us would ever need.

Yes, all good and it will get even better after you download all the Maschine Expansions and use them for free.

Is it still valid in 2024?

I'm using K'd Kontakt Portable with some K'd libraries as a VST in Cubase13. I'm looking for a midi controller (especially for drumming) and I see that the best is MK3 , nice maschine. My question is - if I will buy and Install MK3 could there be any problem with Kontakt Portable or libraries?
I know that It won't be possible to use these libraries in Maschine2 and the device itself. What I mean is, won't they be blocked after installing NI, org Kontat etc. and this will be still working in cubase like now(Kontakt portable+libraries)?

I admit that I don't really understand the methodology.
I made the mistake of installing Native Access on Bobdule's version.
Since then, it has been in DEMO mode. I have to run the "Maschine 2 Keygen.exe" file every time I start to avoid this, otherwise I have the default DEMO mode.
No matter how much I uninstall Native Access, nothing helps.
Can you help me?
