Hi Will, I've seen you around. You're one of the beta-testers aren't you? What do you think the future of Nebula is going to be, and do you think any other companies are going to enter this space?

I'm just a light user, consoles and tapes, and a bit of EQ. Its great for giving your tracks a touch of "analogue" mojo.

  5. Here sir. Mostly have been a follower of Tim Pethericks products. Was a Nebula user before the introduction of Acqua. Now I just go straight to Acqua. I'm spoiled for choice with Softube Console 1 and UAD-2 Unisons. I'm hoping that Modula will pull me back to using AA channel strips on entire jobs instead of my current mix and match.

I've recently delved into the glorious and unique world of N4/Acqua's, thanks to their recent and joyous sales. I've been oogling and drooling over many of the products for quite some time, but could never afford them...

I've spent a bit of time with N4 and absolutely love the sound I can get out of it with the few libraries I've got. Mainly some Tim P., Alex B, and Henry Olonga stuff...

Before the holidays, I've gone off the deep end by purchasing 12, or 13 of the Acqua's and I CANNOT wait until I'm back in the studio again to get use out of them - I've just got to finish my kitchen renovation first.

When I'm finally ready, I'm going to format my machine, reinstall Windows, Studio One, and all my Acqua's/N4, while being super picky about what Algo stuff gets installed. I'd like to keep it clean and streamlined and just get back to work - Can't friggen' wait! :winker:

EDIT: Was at 12 Acqua's during my original post, now at 13... Must stop, helllllp!

Yeah. It's hard to stop, but you really do get what you pay for. Especially great sounding Eq's and Pre's. The sound is stellar.

My first experience was adding a Pink EQ to an AD drum track, and it immediately grabbed my attention. I couldn't turn back after that :)

    Aha. Aye.
And me too. It's Pink (CM) that got me !
Also have N4 but don't use it enough. More aquas Lately.
Also just got Modula. It has quirks, but lovely potential. Can't wait for server mode.

    Aye.
Got all Aquas (well all except pEaRL !), many N4 libraries, and just got Modula.
Took me some time to appreciate Modula but finishing a mix with Magenta M4 was really excellent. Having now Gold and Diamond is superb. Can't wait for the next ports (on Instagram I know I've seen Taupe, Cream, Water....)

I have thousands of cab ir's that are useless next to ownhammer with nebula , also a huge fan of AlexB's gear , the white eq is awesome ..............

  17. Pink is an orgasm for the drum buss. It has a bite that cuts your track to shreds. You literally have to move away from the speakers. Still undecided about Modula. It's not behaving for me. I made this clear on Facebook and Giancarlo personally said he'd look at my crash report. I like that in a company.

Yeah when water was released they mistakenly made its modula version available in aquarius, I had installed. It appears as unauthorized. But it exists indeed.
Yeah I like the way they interact with their users too.
Modula doesn't crash here. I have weird things with the labelling of the channel. I enter a name. For example Kck. KcD comes out ! I name the first channel with a Sub in it (ie DrSub), then when I enter the name of next channels, although I don't type Sub, it comes up in the label of those channels also. :dunno:. Also I deactivate the plugs in my daw. They disappear from Modula. I can understand that. But when I reactivate them in my Daw, they reappear in variable places in Modula, without their labels, etc. If I simply bypass in my daw, they stay in Modula, so no problem there. I think the best - and the point probably - is to bypass them from Modula.
Minor things, I haven't reported them yet, I'm not sure they're consistant with all my daws, I need to test more.

that 70% off sale put me on. but in retrospect, it scares me cause I feel like it's not a priority...
in any case, I am very much enjoying "Acustica Audio Cross Platform Commercial Library V5" tbh
the RND5088 mixbuss is perfect for modern music imo. anyone else tried it?

    Aye.
Gold in it's various incarnations hits every mix. I love the color and feel it imparts.
Can't wait to get back to mixing as I've recently gotten Sand and want to try it on some of our heavier stuff.
Also got Nebula 3. Haven't taken the 4 plunge yet as 3 still handles my needs. Mostly some Olonga stuff, R2R (Wollensak to de-harsh and put heft on guitar tracks!), the STN dbx Enhancer (vocal air!) as the Acqua version just isn't stable on my setup, and Ownhammer cabs for when I'm writing and using guitar sims.
Really want to check out Celestial and Navy. I've got them, just need to figure which type of material they're best suited for.

Acustica ftw! The best plugins, nothing can touch them, nothing. Throw your overpriced junk uad away, there is a new boss in town.
