Omnisphere 2, its like on everyones list. I tried it out, even installed the big 80gb package, meh really didnt understand the hype. The sounds weren't that great to my ears, just sounded always dark feeling and ancient. I know I should like it, but I don't.

    Ahh yes, point taken.

Everyone has their own way of working. The only DAWs that are surviving out there are uniformly excellent in their own particular ways. I just can't imagine how anyone couldn't love Logic Pro....but then, as most of my clients will attest - I have surprisingly little imagination.

    Guitar Pro 7.

I've been using Guitar Pro 5 since 2005 to write all my stuff and then export it to midi for the actual production. This program has a lot of bugs and can be pretty slow to work with, but when I tried newer versions, I just couldn't get on with them. I didn't find some of the most elementary features, which I suspect they removed, and the "slick" new interface is just unintuitive and disorganized. I wouldn't mind using version 5 forever but sometimes people send me version 6/7 files that I can't open, because of fucking course.

i feel the same.... This is a 5th time in past year i upgraded from Win 7 to Wind 10 pro,and i feel like in prison! But i have to use it since a lot of apps goes towards Windows 10.. Sadly Windows 7 is almost gone..... The very best Windows ever after XP for me... Anyways i haved a same issue in 2011 to swap from Xp to Win 7 ... It was a bit struggle but i enjoyed better than Win 7 to Win 10....

A lite version would help. Or LTSC version.

Logic is the most illogical (or my logic is completely wrong, not sure) and unstable DAW I've ever used.
Maybe I'm just old fashioned but no way to fit into my workflow, work with tracks frustrates me too much.

No distinction between tracks. Instrument track != MIDI track, in Logic, a single track can be instrument, MIDI, and audio all in one. That makes it simple for the beginners not for me.

They didn't know how to adapt a legacy part for multicore for a long time, so people on strong machines were still on a single processor. Maybe that's better now as I heard it, but I haven't tested it.

I often get overload messages on solid hardware. I think it was intentionally done to push poor producers to buy new overpriced machines. (Bad greedy Cook)

They haven't update one of the more important plugins for years, they are barely usable at 4k.

No resizable mixer/meter bridge, windows are inflexible for my term flexibility, made everything seem non-linear, too much OOP, inability to use VSTs, confusing routing, mac only...

What I love in Logic is Alchemy synth and score editor (nothing made in Apple)

I could write a longer list, but English is not my native language, so I'm having a hard time.
But I think it's great for beginners who already have a mac.

I didn't plan to turn this post into a review.

I was very poor I wanted to have synth but they were too expensive in my time so i decided to create a plugin for myself... suddenly I got an idea why not try to trick someone and buy all the hardware I want :hillbilly:

I will give it a try but Is LTSC version of Windows 10 the Windows 10 Pro N version in setup or what... How and where i can get it in a legit way. I have upgraded last year Win 7 to Win 10 Pro for free absolutely even if Windows 7 was a "free" version ...

Just to be clear. I agree that the fault lies with you and not the product.

I suppose for me it isn't specifically software that I find annoying, it's software that you only have to look at for it to send your CPU howling towards maximum, even BEFORE you select or sculpt a sound.

I'll probably catch hell for this but............Studio One.

I know it has some great features but every time i open it up my workflow slows to a snails pace.

Huh. Surprised at the uHe hate! I love Diva and Repro1. As a MiniMoog owner for 30 years I'd say Diva is about as close as it gets, though from what I've heard Legend is also really nice. Diva is so configurable though. And Repro1 cuts glass. But different strokes. I don't do EDM, maybe that's the difference.

The software I can't into is Addictive Drums, BFD, SS Drums- anything that's not Superior *lol* And EZMix and EZKeys blow too. I actually like Addictive Keys.

Totally relevant to me, I don't consider it a musical EQ. It does really sound cold. It's my go to tool to fix precise things in a sample for example :)

    Good topic btw @garfinkle

Check out this thread, where we just discussed about it: https://audiosex.pro/threads/windows-10-deletes-my-files.51556/
You also need some tweaking for better performance, like #Talmi suggested on this post, on page 8: https://audiosex.pro/threads/wanna-buy-a-mac-teach-me-if-its-the-right-choice-please.50051/page-8

Me too for Diva and Repro.
Doubt u-he gets that much hate. Diva and Zebra have been the most dled instruments since their release on AZ for New Year.
    Not Legend.

    MOTU Digital Performer.

It's supposedly a great DAW but I have never been able to understand its workflow because it is so different from Studio One.

As a matter of fact, I have never been able to leave S1 for any other DAW.

I'm just curious sometimes to try different stuff and see if it might be better but S1's workflow is so unique that I have been unable to switch to anything else for the past five years. :dunno:

S1 workflow is pretty unique: Which DAW are you coming from?
