Once this internship is over shure I'll have a bit of free time.
But I was dicking around with some stuff and came across something i've never seen before..

I've been a fan of this plugin for a long time and never noticed this.

It will move around on different channels... Very very strange.
as you see Im sub'd so it's not some troll.

is this some ancient tech from days before where people shove tooth pics in the board?
lol idk any help would be appreciated on this one.

Probably kept there so that the button doesn't go down as the spring mechanism is damaged.

[edit: I found people referring to it as merely an "authentic" touch of a well-used console.
I am kind of disappointed, but I guess real Easter Eggs are not something you want in your DAW.
It would be fun, but serious people would probably be pissed off about the wasted code and a latency debate would ensue ]

Aaaah the toothpick trick on emulation soft hehehe. I guess this is the thing to make millenials go mental, wtf is that sht doing there?
Well those Neves would get so hot that they would literally melt certain buttons, so in order to avoid that, engineers would use a toothpick in the most hot parts where buttons reside, to keep the button up so it gets some air and avoid melting. So i guess it does nothing in the plugin (does it?) but it's a nice pun about those times.

That's the kind of thing that is cool enough to make me use a plugin even if it isn't actually any good. Remember Realibanjo? In addition to actually being a very nice banjo emulation if you played it for a minute or two the little animated banjo guy's dog would come out from his house and start rockin' *lol*

Some buttons lost their latch, so you had to stick them stuck with picks. Same thing has happened when I was working on SSL consoles.
