    Maybe that's too much?

Have you tried using stock DAW plugs?

thank you for your tips. you are right, i should probably use reference tracks for my mixes. long sessions sometimes blurring my ears, i will try put some space for better judgement. just being a bit excited sometimes, trying to finish as quick as possible however not getting paid or anything else. but i want to improve my skills with hard work. i hope i can find the way out of this. happy holidays you too!

i want to improve my mixing skills with hard work, maybe you are right i am trying so hard than it has to be. also i changed used plugins on second one. I am using some stock plugins on second mix. instead of ssl i used eq with spectrum analyzer. i will take some online courses i guess. some professional perspective would be helpful too. observing and taking some notes, you know, instead of blind mixing.

online courses will guide you to some generic ballpark mixing imho, if you want to stand out, follow your instincts

    okay
1.Record all your tracks properly with proper gain setting, i believe it is around -6 to -12db for all of your input tracks level
2.Put proper panning on each tracks/instruments
3.Use EQ (low, mid, high) for your instruments (knowing the freq chart of the instruments is a good advantage)
4.Use compressor (to make your instruments level constant)
5.Use Fx to enhance your tracks (e.g Vocals, Keys, Drums a bit, etc)
    6. once you balance all the tracks go to the next step which is Mixing
    7. Bounce all your tracks into audio and start mixing (just like wrapping all the ingredients)
    8. Mastering is the next level, take your time to learn these steps .. Recording, Mixing and Mastering

    good luck

P.s : i love using Match EQ on Logic just to get the sound that i wanted based on reference tracks
    you should try it ...

You can find good, non-watered-down mixing tutorial videos by searching for Matthew Weiss. Just hit any of them that strike your fancy:
    - Mixing Drums with Compression
    - Mixing Background Vocals
    - Managing Low End
    - Mixing 808s
    - Working with Drum Loops
    etc, etc.

What I like about the guy and the main reason I recommend him to you is that none of the videos he puts out are insultingly basic. You will always find some interesting Weiss twist in everything that he does, which is thought-provoking - compared to videos where some dolt tells you what a knob does like you're 5 years old and cannot read.

thank you for your tips. they sound reasonable, i'll give them a try. mostly i am using vu meter for gain staging and watching mixbus with vu meter to be around -18db to -16db final mix. it seems match eq idea is the best for finding reference tracks.

I like this sound , except the snare seems too noticeable at times. I like the way the vocal and guitars sound.
I wish I had some speakers to feel it better (just using headphones).
If I was going to put it in my ipod right now I would only put a tiny notch EQ where the snare stands out.

day 6: I explored crazy stuff named automation. and i played with it so hard. this is the latest mix i've ever made. there were two vocals same thing i panned them hard left and right maybe that was mistake cuz i'm hearing some laggy sound sometimes.

edit: i really need to learn how to mix vocals as soon as possible..
