Any EQ and any compressor compared to the stock ones of your daw. Get a friend, try to guess your beloved son of a bitch eq or compressor in comparison to the stock ones. I won't argue if you like the gui or the handling better... but soundwise it's snakeoil.

 

For people that can not hear the existing difference a particular software makes, for better or for worse, anything they can hear not is a reason to declare that software a snake oil (because to them it doesn't 'deliver', so - to them - it is a fraud).
Nevertheless they try to make /meaning: produce/ music for people who can hear the difference. What to expect?
It's a funny game, everyone involved.

Would you call The God Particle a snake oil plugin? We get so many " this is the only xyz plugin you will ever need" type of claims and hype; and TGP checks both boxes. For people who are not intermediate or better mixers, I think it is the closest "hype product", which actually does even close to what the marketing claims.
