Anybody interested in a 10 € discount code for for Fazortan 2 by D16?
It's valid until October 12th. I love d16 Plugins but it's just that I don't need another Phaser right now.
Most ridiculous reply gets it. :)

Off Topic: Out of curiosity I just had another look at the acustica audios website to see what the are up to nowadays. What I really confuses me about AA is the way they present their plugins. They present them as if they were real hardware units by creating 3D photorealistic renders of the plugin's GUI, then they stick a 3D box behind it to create dimension, rotate it a bit and boom: it looks like hardware. People sure enough might think that they'll sound like hardware.

It's ridiculously snake-oilish marketing, imo. Usually, only bad plugin companies do that who need to hide behind fancy GUIs. I think they are overdoing it way too hard in this regard. There's no need for that at all as incredibly sounding plugins with minimalisic GUIs like DynOne or Gullfoss prove.

Apple Pages. But for the Compressor and the Aqua Plugin list there's a Google Docs version available. You can send me a request though google docs for editing rights if you wish to add entries.Links are in the original post. The Slate VMR Modules Section is still unfinished…

    Pretty inadequate comment, too!

The link you provided has by no means "much more detailed" info. It just has more plugins, that's cool and all.

But does it have Ratios, Attack and Release Times and use cases for Compressors?
Or Number of Bands, Frequencies and Boost levels of EQs and tipps and tricks?

    No, so there you go.

These lists were made for printing and to be actually used in real life. Otherwise I wouldnt have called the "Cheat sheets" They were not meant to be the most complete compandium of every plugin ever created based on hardware.

Alright then. I assumed "Analog Modeled Audio Plugin Lists" meant just that, and not "details about analog emulated compressors".

I suggest less assuming more reading before critizising the next time.

As far as I know, yes. I think it's not so easy to get hands on one to model it. It's a rather rare unit from the 70s and really expensive (15 k). So maybe that's why.

Scarlet 3 was already a bomb, scarlet 4 which has just been released (https://www.acustica-audio.com/store/products/scarlet) is even dopper.
I've tried real quick the ik version, but I truelly doubt it's as good as the acustica one....

@5teezo First of all, thanks for this list. I'm a bit late but it's still useful none the less...I don't suppose you know of any youtubers that provide detailed info/demos on analog emulation plugins? I'm trying to brush up my knowledge on all of this hardware emu stuff but find it hard to categorize my plugins list. Eq and compressors I know a fair amount but delays, tape emus and channel strips etc are what I'm trying to learn next. I've heard you mention a few good engineers on this site before but can't remember the threads off the top of my head, so if you (or anybody else) could help with that I'd appreciate it...Thanks

I'm so glad that a few latecomers arrived, and in so doing, re-advertised this thread.
I had never seen it before today, so I'm currently the most recent latecomer.

@5teezo, I think your cheat sheets are terrific. :like:

Are you open to add-ons? If so, here's a suggestion for a page 3 to your chords, scales and modes document.

If you don't want to add this - no problem at all.
If you do want to add it and would like a better format to work with, do let me know.

    Cheers.

I call this 'neighbouring modes'; I think it can open up some quite interesting ideas.

    Hi. Thanks for the feedback.

As far as youtube is concerned, I usually search by the name of plug-in I want to know something about. My favorite channel for in-depth reviews and background info on (analog modeled) plug-ins is the Mixing with Mike with his Plugin of the week series.

I think Channel Strips could become the next list.
