Yeah, with Zebra VST 2 and 3, this randomly started happening. Cant save a patch. On a freshly redone Win 10 machine running Ableton 10.1.3. Anyone else?

Sorry - I have not installed the latest. I am watching this thread anyway though, for when i do install.
As a general thought, you might make sure your folders have permissions, DAW running as admin,etc...

 

Thanks for the reply. I always have my permissions set right, ran int that problem long ago with U-he stuff. I had an earlier version working correctly, no issues, but this latest version killing me, I'm gonna revert, I can't have this. Still, I wanna know why it's happening, is it possibly a U-he Easter Egg for the hackers? I know a long while ago he had the black dot bomb on Zebra, a possible return?? I wanna see R2Rs relaease!

Confirmed on the v2.9-rev.9436. Doesn't matter which skin or GUI size.
Strange, after a successful click on the border i can save normal. Same behavior with Bazille, ACE & DIVA.
Repro-1/5, ColorCopy, Satin & Twangstrom works normal.

Sadly this VR bundle rev3 is completely broken. rev2 functions correctly. look below. fresh install new machine. broken.

 

Ok, issue revisited, and not to beat a dead horse, but it was never really resolved by me. So upon install Zebra likes to scan its default patch directory. This can take a long time if u, like me, have a shit ton of patches (I HAD to have everything right?). Well during this time, saving patches is impossible, which makes sense, and this is what happened to me. I was unable to save patches because I had just installed the VR release and my patch directory was being scanned. This also happens every time ur open ur DAW, Zebra does a much quicker simpler scan to make sure, I assume, no changes have happened? (new presets packs have been added?)
Upon install the second time, I'm guessing I allowed the scan to finish, thereby allowing me to start saving without issue. Now what I'm not able to replicate was why I was able to save by hitting the save button precisely at the buttons' graphic border. That was what was truly weird. but I'm over it.
The lesson here: Allow Zebra to finish scanning preset directory.
