Welcome to the forum. Happy Song Crane Solaris Quantum user here, too. I have a question for you. As a Brooklyn ADC user do you think that coupling it with the Solaris you obtain better results than using it in conjunction with a Brooklyn DAC? I currently use the Solaris with a Forsell which has started giving us some trouble, and it is time to either fix it or replace it. The Brooklyn is one of the options in the price range.

At this level as I am sure you already know, the best plan is to get the kit on loan from a dealer and test it over a week or so and see how well it fits with your gear chain. At this high quality level no DAC/ADC will break a great result, but it does indeed have very subtle differences and as such needs to fit into your work methodology and your equipment chain, so it is very personal. All this gear is top level but you need to listen to ensure it works for you.

 

Thanks for your reply. I couldn't agree with you more. Over the weekend I borrowed a Burl Audio B2 Bomber from a friend and there was no discernible sonic difference to trained ears between it and the Forsell. However, one thing that was a big plus to me in the B2 was its DANTE connectivity. I, therefore, will be giving it serious consideration based on that.
