Have you been able to try it ? I've installed aquarius from Quantica site but Modula doesn't appear in it yet. Aquarius has a few problems on my side, I'm not sure if it's related or if it's just not there yet. I don't see crazy talks on GS bout it. So probably not there yet.

 

Same here. No sign of it in my Aquarius either. I'll give it a spin when it appears but I don't think it's for me as I only have one PC and no touch screen. Seems like a very expensive glorified plugin host where you have to pay again for some of the very expensive plugins you already bought. But I'm a cynic without a touch screen.

Yeah I'm far from being sold on it too. I surely want to test it, but I'm bothered by the perspective of having to fork in twice for the same plugs in different format. Don't have a touch screen, but I would get one, wouldn't be against that type of workflow for the aa plugs.
Some will be free, it seems beside the ones already included, the next one launch will be cola, and it will be free. If there's no clarification about that topic I won't get it though. I'm not gonna spend 400$ on a product just to have the right to spend more on things I already own and can use without a virtual console. I don't see how that's gonna work for anyone.

It's Acqua plugs but vertical instead of horizontal. I do like the sound of Magenta's EQ though. That'll be one for next year's Black Friday.
Without forking out for extra hardware it just seems like a plugin host to me.

Yeah M5 is lovely. Real gain upon M4. They've picked what's among their best eqs to include in. Gold, Diamond and M5...A very complete bundle, probably also among the best sellers. A lot of people will already have at least Gold and Diamond, it'll be tempting for them to get others. Pretty smart - albeit commercial - move.

 

After further twiddling I absolutely love the EQ in Magenta. Do you remember if Acustica's Christmas and New Year sale had the same discounts as Black Friday last year?

 

I can't find the email that announced a christmas sale last year.All I've just found is an email that indicated that the sale was still on in mid-january. So I don't know if they're going to do similar sales for christmas. This year the BF sales ended much earlier (last year it was the 18th of December), so hopefully.
There were additional sales, much smaller in discount except a few units, in January, February, May and June (summer sales).
On top of those sales they sent coupons for additional 25% cuts for first 100 customers.

 

Well it's fun, but without touch screen not much point. Practical for the bypass, soloing mind you.

So does Modula keep the fx on each channel column open so you can tweak perameters for each without having to click a track in the DAW and open the Aqua window anytime you want to make an adjustment? If so that could be pretty convenient cutting down some extra steps but maybe more so if the channels are spread out over multiple monitors. I know the pricepoint reflects other features they are still working on too like using network over lan.

I only tried it with one panel in as Magenta was the only one available at the time, but yes I believe that is the main attraction - using both hands on a touch screen representation of a desk. I didn't bother with the other demo panels that appeared soon after for reasons stated above. It's pointless if you don't have a touch screen or the wherewithal to buy a few of the plugins that it uses. The fact that currently owned Acqua plugins do not work with it will put off many who already bought the "4 skins" it comes with.
