Apart from the strange EFX order, it seems to be a nice synth.

    QRange

    QRange Features
lkjb QRange is an IIR linear phase EQ with the following features:

      • 12 bands (sortable by frequency).
      • Each band can be used as peak, shelf and cut filter.
      • Cut filters are available with 12, 24 and 48 dB/oct steepness.
      • Stereo/Left/Right/Mid/Side routing per band.
      • Global gain for loudness adjustments.
      • Resizable user interface.
      • Linear phase processing without pre-ringing*
The analyser can be set to analyse pre-EQ and post-EQ signal applying the same routings that are available per band. It is possible to adjust the analyser minimum/maximum magnitude by dragging the scale on the right (visible only if the analyser is active).

A menu which is available via the gearwheel provides:

      • Adjusting Analyser Range.
      • Adjusting frequency display magnitude.
      • Adjusting the plugin latency.
      • Setting a default EQ state and/or user interface size for new instances.
    Changelog:

      • 1.0.0: First release.
    QRange Details
The plugin works by block-wise processing an IIR filter forwards and backwards. This results in a symmetric impulse response and thus linear phase operation but also more or less different EQ curves than normal IIR filters. While the difference is not that big for peak and shelf filters, it is not possible to create a Butterworth (maximum flat before the cutoff) characteristic. Instead Linkwitz-Riley cuts can be used by setting the Q-factor to 0.707 for the 12 and 24 dB/oct filters. The 48 dB/oct cuts are always Linkwitz-Riley.

The latency can be set to about 140, 240, 560 and 1120 ms. A higher latency doesn’t result in significally more average CPU usage but as the block is processed in longer intervals with larger blocks it can lead to drop-outs in a general CPU-intensive session. The main advantage of a higher block size is to have a higher precision using bands at low frequencies with a rather high Q-factor. In most cases, the Medium or Long setting should suffice. If only high the mids and treble range is processed the Short setting will also be fine. Normaly, the Insane setting shouldn’t be needed as high Q-factors at low frequencies can result in noticable pre-ringing which propably isn’t desired anyway.

By design an IIR linear phase EQ will have a phase response different to completely zero which is possible with a FIR linear phase EQ. The phase response is still so little (a few degree, depending on the set filter type, gain and Q-factor) that it won’t have a noticable effect. When using cuts the phase response can become much higher but this will only be at frequencies where the cut attenuation is so large that again no noticable effect should result.

    * Pre-ringing free processing only if all bands are set to flat.

    800 fockin euroslaves ...or 977 for 600

i think live is the only DAW who can handle multiple interfaces(no daisy chaining)
one of the points its so expensive..

EDIT they back to 600 for v10

you can get a license for 200-300 on ebay sometimes

I didn't even know this thing. What is special in this EQ?Given that you're an Ableton user,EQ8 hasn't a linear phase mode?

Unsure if it has been mentioned in the previous 56 pages of this topic, but DMG Audio's TrackControl is one of the best utilitarian plugins out there that's free. And I love Black Rooster's VHL-3C Hi-Lo pass; besides the cuts, it sweetens things up a bit. :)

From 2008 to 2015 I published a number of VST plugins for Windows under the whiteLABEL brand - studio tools for musicians and producers. Whilst they were reasonably popular and regularly went out on coverdiscs (ComputerMusic, MusicTech and TechFocus Magazines) they were never any great commercial success. Between downloads and magazine placements there are probably in-excess of 300,000 units "in-the-wild" - many of them having found useful homes in studios around the world, ranging from hobbyist's bedrooms to commercial radio facilities, and every now-and-then I still get reports of them having been used on remixes for well-known artist x,y or z etc ... and that's not counting the Japanese and Russian warez-sites or the pirate dvd compilations ...

I'd like to offer my heartfelt thanks and best wishes to the hundreds of customers who paid me the modest amounts I charged for the full versions : it's been a delight to get to know some of you and your support, encouragement, testing and feedback over the years has been a real help to my development as a coder, and further as artist in the broader fields of "digital" and "visuals" ...

And now : in order to squeeze the last drops of usefulness from them as the studio-world completes the transition to full 64-bit workflows I've decided to re-release them as freeware / donationware - the full products available from this website, gratis.

I have no intention to create 64-bit versions of them, and I'm certainly not offering free-support : you gets what you get, your mileage may vary, and you might even enjoy the odd crash or glitch here and there. They are generally usable in 64-bit hosts through various wrapper technologies (I regularly use them in 32-bit Reaper on Win7x64) but please don't come running to me looking for solutions or expecting updates - they is what they is and from now-on they won't cost you a penny!

clickety-click on the links below ....

    ///// PRODUCTS /////

TENQ : swanky 10 node EQ with slick openGL interface
I'm still toying with the tech behind this one -
it's basically entirely custom so there might be some visualisation toys along at some point ...
    ... or maybe not : who knows ? ... not I ;)

    bolsteriser(revA) : naive character compressor : model A - Softknee RMS
    bolsteriser(revB) : naive character compressor : model B - Hardknee Peak

    bolsteriser(revF) : naive character compressor : model F - with Balls
    bolsterisers(mono) : naive character compressors : mono pack - A,B,C,D & F
A whole bunch of cod-retro compressors with different sounds,
lots of character and not a single analog model or component in sight ...
despite their ludicrous back-story featuring a man, a cat and some military intelligence operatives

    voldeLAY : peculiar delay machine

    ///// OTHER STUFF /////

SoundSquares : surround mixer/placement tool for handling rigs upto 64 speakers
this one is probably my greatest acheivement but you'll need a really big rig to get the best from it -
the sort of thing you'd find in an art gallery, museum, or public installation

TEV : Twin Engined Verb - characterful reverb and delay unit
I was awarded 4th prize in the 2009 KVR developer challenge for this little beast ...
you'll only be able to use a single instance at a time though, due to the notorious 'SE multicore bug' of old ...

    wavePLAY : 4 wave generators - play it from a control-surface, pseudo-theremin style

calcul8 : shitty calculator - no really, it was made in North Korea

studioCLOCK : a studio clock - what did you expect ? can't you read or something ?

so, ummmm, yep - that's the lot .... well at least for the moment -
I've still got a few additional unreleased toys kicking about but right now,
I really can't be bothered to dig through the many many *many* files in the archive -
hope you have fun with it all : come find me over at facebook.com/whiteLABELplugins

and please, if you're feeling the love - do a good thing and make a donation :

    AudioThing Blindfold EQ

Blindfold EQ is a freeware EQ plugin inspired by a quote by Matt Wallace from the book Recording Unhinged by Sylvia Massy. It has 4 bands (LowShelf, LowMid, HighMid, HighShelf), but each knob is blind. There are no indicators or numbers to show frequency values, gain values or Q values.

You’d have to use your ears.
