    It does nothing unique.

Vengeance are gonna be sore having payed that cut to Wibu when CodeMeter apps are cracked and strewn all over the internet.

The only innovations seem to be ease-of-use and BULK/FLUFF so if the crackers aren't bothered putting the hours in to defeat the increasingly harder crypto: fk it, who cares

You are crazy. It doesn’t do anything that no other synth can do, but it does as much as about three synths stacked together.

I hate the switch to codemeter, and I’m gonna facepalm extra fucking hard if the new update gets cracked after all their paying users had to deal with this fiasco, but it’s still a great sound design workspace

A few layers of Serum + Sylenth1 + Massive + Spire = 1 Avenger preset. If you know how to layer, no need for Avenger

Try to make a granular synthesis or multisample patch with:
Serum or Sylenth1 or Massive or Spire
Looks like you haven't even touched the surface of Avenger yet.
Did you ever tried it at all ?

The other thing that gets so often overlooked in these discussions is the freedom to route and modulate things how you want. Never used sylenth or spire, but Serum and Massive are poor comparisons to begin with because you start and end with (in serum and massive respectively) 2/3 oscillators, 2 filters, and only like three routing configurations for the whole thing.

Each of Avengers 8 oscs has its own detune voices, additional pitch-configurable voices, sub osc, FM source, etc. You can route it to any of four filters or all of them, plus additional filters in the FX section. LFOs and MSEGS that can act like LFOs, and dedicated modulators like the wavetable MSEG can do the same for other parameters, plus a modulation sequencer. You can add like 30 effects if that's your thing. You can modulate anything by anything with drag and drop. I feel like people who make these sort of criticisms either tried it for five minutes and summarily dismissed it as being nothing special because it looks normal and does all the normal stuff, but the whole point is that it does ALL the normal stuff.

I hate to always be the one to fanboy out like this, because I'm not thrilled about certain stuff with the codemeter scheme, but facts are facts, and the fact is that its best quality is it simply never gets in your way. I'm sure Falcon (which I haven't tried) is like that too, but I haven't used anything else that achieves this to the same degree.

Ok ok i forgot omni. But agree it is all in one. But seriously slow for me. Btw can it make sounds like diva? And all the expansions Vengeance makes are really so common and easy that they would just be made as well with other synths. I mean to say, expansions don't really use the power avenger's got

    @Moonlight, @Cav Emp

Every big synth has its own advantages like Omni, Avenger, Synthmaster...
For me, Alchemy (which comes practically for free with Logic X) is deeper than I usually need so the only reason to get another big one would be the presets available as additional purchases.
But I'm not into presets too much because once getting familiar with a synth, I find it less annoying to dial in my own sound than to browse through endless preset lists.
I also think that layering two or three different synths will give you more flexibility and more fun in sound design.

    never tried

    omnisphere cant load multisamples

Guys search the INIT knob in Avenger and just play around with Avenger.
It is super easy to get a great new Tone/sound/patch.
Just brwosing through the factory Wavetables/Samples/Shapes is entertaining.
It is much easier to create a Patch from a great sounding Sample/Wavewtable/Shape than a plain basic shape such as SAW.

That way you create youir own sound and not sound as anyone else owning (-:using) that expansion

Make sure to try the Effects and Filtertypes either.

    And the (big) EQ! Window.

    Check out VStrength/VSpeed

Found that feature in Drumseq where you can nudge the beginning of a sample before its trigger?
    quite usefull for claps ...

    Also great,
create basic tones or patches with other synths effects until you cpu burns.
then just resample it and resample it with Avenger. 'infinite' posibilities

Yeah you gain Flexibility but have to deal with multiple Plugin Windows.
Esppecially if you want to lets say have 2 arpeggiators running so that the complement each other. etc...
To compare or align stuff you would have to open multiple GUIs .
, thats to tedious for my taste :)

Nothing new but at least some instructions appear in my Avenger Account:

"How To Update to from version 1.x.x to version 1.5
    • - Download and install the CodeMeter Runtime ( use the link above ) it on your Computer
    • - Reboot
    • - Log into your account on vps-avenger.com again.
    • - Click the button “Manage Activations” to activate a set of licenses on your Computer ( one of each for one computer ) (!Edge and Explorer Browser may not work. Use Chorme or Firefox instead)
    • - Download all Expansions and Factory Content again. ( the format has changed, 1.5 will not recognize the old files
    • - Download and install the VPS Avenger installer for your Computer.
    • - Run Avenger in your DAW and follow the instructions to import the new factory content.
    • - Drop all expansion files onto Avenger or use the “Import” button on the SYS-Tab -> Content Tab in Avenger"

AFAIK we still haven’t received any clarity about how these 90 day license checks are handled. Would be pretty much fine if its 90 days from the last time you opened avenger while online, but the guys at VPS haven’t confirmed this that I’ve seen, nor denied that it’s going to simply void your license every 90 days regardless, until you log in and re-authorize it. If that’s the case, boy what a fucking dumb and annoying licensing scheme

If your workflow is totally different from mine and Avenger fits it well then that's perfectly fine!
Maybe I should start using arps in composition? :winker:
