Yup, sometimes better...

 

Going through this right now...spent like 2 hours installing everything for it all to load in DEMO mode. Gonna install only R2R from here on out as the releases never fuck up this much.

Is installing over the V.R. release only needed or must I uninstall everything, clean the Registry, then reinstall?

 

Seems that might the the most sure way, unless someone else says it is not needed.
Note: I always run everything as Administrator, with AV software disabled, wearing a tinfoil hat and from my closet.
All that might not be needed either, but I feel better.

Not sure if registry cleaning is really needed, I did not do it after mixing some V.R. and R2R releases on my old system, and V7 still runs okay there, you could try without

In any case, make sure you clean the Program Data folder (watch out that you do not delete the preset folder there), the Program Files folder and VST folders from Arturia stuff. And remove it from the List of installed apps in Windows apps and features..

I think as well that it's a good thing to run them as admin, if I remember correctly there was something about loading presets that did not work without admin rights

When using Kerosene Lamps, better not use flat-wick lamps! When those fall down they can easily start a fire

 

I know this post is a bit old, however, running FL Studio 20 as ADMIN fixed my Arturia V Collection 7 issue instantly. What was happening was that the plugins would load & crash FL within 15 seconds of being open, every single time, but only about 3-5 plugins would NOT do this.

Not facing this issue anymore, hopefully, anyone struggling with the same thing finds this useful in the future.

For future reference, using the V Collection 7 R2R installation files.

 

Installed the V Collection 7 from R2R today on a fresh system and for some reason it's missing many of the preview sounds for Maschine/Komplete Kontrol
For some instruments it's there, and for others it's entirely missing. Didn't have that issue with version 6, so I guess I'll just stick to that for now...

Thanks, I'll have to try that. Installing V Collection 6 did absolutely nothing for my problem and the previews folders are all over the place. Some plugins have preview sounds but I can't find the corresponding previews folder
But some of the previews folders are where you'd expect them (somewhere in the C:/ProgramData/Arturia folder)

What a mess...

 

I know. Just remember when you follow my process, you no longer can visit ANY site page featuring the word Arturia, including those on here. To do that you have to manually go in to your firewall and temporarily delete *arturia*

The process of blocking *Arturia* may be over the top, but it's what I did to have it working again.

In addition. The most common places you'll find Arturia stuff is below.

C:\Program files\Arturia
C:\Program files\Common Files
C:\program files(86)\Arturia
C:\program files(86)\Common Files
C:\Program Data\Arturia
C:\Users\$Your Name%\My Documents

Okay. I discovered what's causing the problems with my NKS previews
The previews of some of the older Arturia plugins appear to come bundled with the Native Browser Preview Library, which is.... unintuitive.

I copied them over from my previous install, which caused problems. In any case, this has nothing to do with the V Collection itself or any specific release of it.
