Anyway i have seen codemeter protection on plugins and Daw (Sequia) many many years atleast over 10 years.
And yes Antares used iLok before.

 

Who determines which software is kept private and which is released? From my understanding all releases are released on whatever server / platform they use, and the uploaders from sister site have access to all the releases on the scene, so the uploaders on sister site decide what gets released and what doesnt right?

 

Antares still supports iLOK, but you need the physical dongle obviously. I'm extremely curious to know if V.R managed to crack codemeter or was it just a bad implementation. If someone is knowledgeable about this stuff hopefully they can clarify. Or if we see a nexus 3 crack or anyother codemeter protected software, then we'll know for sure it was cracked.

 

Why do people keep mentioning Nexus 3? Do your research. Nexus 3 does NOT use codemeter. It's their own developed protection.
Same with Sylenth3 and Rapid, they also use online activation, but are still not cracked. (At least not public)

Not saying it isn't possible to crack, just don't get your hopes up just because codemeter has (possibly?) been cracked. Huge feat by V.R by the way.

 

Not for AutoTune Pro latest (v9.1), you need codemeter. Hard ilok is only still good for EFX+ and from auto tune v9 to all previous versions. Would have kept the dongle for the latest version, but I had to go codemeter (should have waited)

 

my question regarding the possibility to crack vengeance avenger (and others) is : is it the same type of security as with Auto Tune ? The licenses don't present themselves in the same way in codemeter software, codemeter expalins on their website that clients can choose how the soft security is implemented, and I wonder if the safety breach in the protection comes from the antares soft that comes in complement to codemeter soft for the authorization process. No such soft for Avenger.

 

This is very interesting. I guess only time will tell, if we start seeing more codemeter protected software start showing up on Az.

Team V.R is amazing but it's suprising that they cracked Autotune Pro with Codemeter but they haven't cracked Oeksound Soothe which use a regular old iLok Protection system.

Soothe is so bad that no team is interested in cracking it.

 

simple logic....how often do we need repeat...there are puplic cracks and non puplic cracks..non pulpic cracks get defeated after next update so all the hard work is just for 1 version no further updates...like when someone find a back door or trick and not defeated whole protection...

i live well without Soothe and will continue to live well without it. Its amazing to see such a lot of naive people who believe in a "magic pill" plugin as a cure that will suddenly heal all their "shitty sounding" problems.

 

its also collecting virus for free stuff...they have all the things they wanted but they want this last thing ..until next comes out

Auto-Tune Pro goes back to default setting every time I open a saved project. Hope this gets fixed until then I use something else

Was that 8.1 ? That behaved the same for me on the same setup - insta-crash. Not sure why. Any ideas? Also on 1809.

 

Considering how much of a disaster their 1.5 launch was, I would assume they must certainly have been incompetent enough to leave in a loophole that's bigger than the BlackHole plugin window

 

I'm really glad to see AutoTune getting some needed attention.
I really don't care much for joining the Nexus bandwagon. By time it's cracked, everyone who paid for it will have used it about 200 times already. I'd be more excited to finally use Reason as a VST(i).

I used to care about Soothe, but there's alternatives in DSM v2, Gullfoss, Melda Spectral Dynamics, and Sonible SmartComp.

I'm really hoping VR gives some attention to Gospel Musicians Bassalicious 2, which is in a league of its own.

 

Do new Antares products support win7 sp1 x64? And how stable they are in reaper6?
Reading comments that win10 is problematic with antares, and presets can't be saved or doesn't recall after project reopening. But what about win7?
