Hi, there is an eighties synth sound used at the end of songs from the eighties and modern songs with the eighties vibe. Kind of a high background sound. The sound is present and easy to hear at 3.36 seconds in the this song Girls, Can anyone tell me what synth and what preset it is ?

I hear this vocal shout at 3.53 n dont really know what you mean. its hard in da background, maybe a bad example. its nearly impossible to find out synth & presets someone used anywhere. But TAL UNO and JUNO VSTs are very good for this 80s vibe !! should really check it out.

 

If you want to sound like the 1975 just plagiarize anything from the 80's

Thanks for your responses, I just chose that time as a point where the synthesizer arp was easy to hear, I did not mean the vocal shout. I changed the time to 3.36. If the sound is in tal uno , I have the plugin, could anyone tell me the name of a preset pack or the preset in tal uno lx? is that sound coming from a specific 80s synth ?, It is also used by Charlie Puth in the song Boy at 3.27. It seems to create an eighties atmosphere for the chorus or a song ending.

Recently on sister site, several 80's presets were uploaded for Arturia synths. You can also search with keywords *Sytnhwave* *80s* "80's* *Retrowave* In short, if you can't find what you are looking for use this

 

Hmm, to me this background Synthsound (its really quiet) starting at 3:32min sounds like a "resonant Ahhh choir" like here (but maybe 1/2 octave higher) starting at 00:32min

After listening to it again after a long time I must say, this song is absolutely brilliant in athmosphere, composition, instrumentation and arrangement. I still have goose bumps!

I loved that synth. Wish I'd never let it go.
I miss it more than the Juno-106 & DX7 I used to have.

 

You're right it's a nice synth. Sometimes it sounds a little like a Jupiter 8 on more subtle strings/ pads.
I got the EX-8000 rack version too (intending to get rid of the Keyboard) but ended up keeping them both. They sound really nice layered together playing the same chords using different patches.

Yeah. That's the KORG M1 'Universe' Preset.

 

It's a bell-like sound with a huge amount of reverb playing a melody/arp.

It should be possible to create this with any analog emu VSTi synth.

 

If it's the sound I'm thinking you're referring to, it mainly boils down to a pulse-wave with immediate attack and a long-ish decay, no real filter but a bit of emphasis to give it just the hint of a bell overtone- it's a bad 80s analog attempt at an electric piano sound in a nutshell.

There is a setting in Lush 101 called memories in the lead section of Lush 101 which sounds really similar(especially to the Charlie Puth song) so I will mark that recommendation for this synth as the best answer.
