For what its worth, you can try to rename your old one to Nexus2.dll and the new one as Nexus.dll. Not sure if it will work anymore though, but I have it this way, I use cracked 2.2 via JBridge as Nexus.64.dll then I have 2.4 (shared from a friend, to load expansions shared by him, before the master key, it was possible) as NexusOld.dll and then I have legit 2.7 as Nexus.dll And I can use all three. See if you can do the same trick

lol i check ur terror because i have over 40 non orginally expansions too, the reason i will never buy nexus

, but i understand refx, they dont support warez
this expansions you talk about are only renamed, redone, remaked, changed settings and saved in a new folder. copied from the orginal presets

the reason i stay on old shit

looks like software is changing, alot of software developer go to online cloud access

Can you clarify more than a screen shot??? FYI: It runs almost perfectly for me in Logic Pro X version 10.3.2 OSX Mavericks. Crrashed once when I was changing a reverb setting in play.

The official Expansions downloaded from their cloud app works just fine. What I really want... is the ability to load the older Nexus 2 samples, specifically the free presets; so it seems the best way is to not upgrade.

You can run nexus 2 and 3 side by side if you still use your dongle for nexus 2. All old expansions will work perfectly if you just keep the dongle plugged in. You will just have to use nexus 2 for old modified expansions unfortunately.

I honestly don't think it's worth it, friend. Even with the new plugin and the controls they give you, you can only get so far and it'll still sound "similar" to what's come before. I'd rather spend my time with Dexed or Synth 1 or TyrellN6 or MinimogueVA or Elek7ro.
For trance, use an arp, gate or piano roll accordingly. Add FX. I mentioned these because they are MSRP: FREE.
We get A LOT of other tools for free. Support the developer when it is worth it.

On a side-note, moneygrubbers be fncked but these days we have a new kind of villain. The kind that that knowingly puts out crap that they know will only ever suppress our minds and will. Nexus sounds may sound hot but put in a few weeks of diligent synthesis with one of the free tools listed above and see what happens. Then add FX and see what happens.
Then make your own presets and sell them an.. no don't do that.

The older Nexus 2 samples, specifically the free presets are not officially supported by the reFX cloud, only all official exp.

    Best Answer
Ok Guys Refx heard our cry. Here is good news straight from the website about loading third party expansions and I tried it and it does work. Just a headache but a workaround nonetheless.
    2.11 Can I load third-party Nexus2 expansions in NEXUS3?
The short answer: Yes and no, depending on how old those third-party expansions are.

The long answer requires some background information:

Those third-party presets are presets taken from official Nexus2 expansions, tweaked a little, and then saved using a very old version of Nexus2. Said old Nexus2 version used the dongle to encrypt the presets.

The way presets are saved was updated in Nexus 2.3.0 (released almost ten years ago) and we updated all official Nexus content accordingly. Unfortunately, the creators of those third-party presets did not.

Since Nexus3 does not require a USB-eLicenser, it cannot load dongle-encrypted presets. However, Nexus3 does load all current official Nexus2 content and all third-party presets created / saved with Nexus 2.3.0 or later.

We are looking into possible solutions and hope to make older third-party presets available in Nexus3.

In the meantime, there is a workaround:

Install and load the latest Nexus2 version (2.7.4). Load the third-party preset and manually save it. This converts the preset into the new format and removes the dongle-encryption.

When you have converted all desired presets, install Nexus3 and it will load those third-party presets just fine.
