I Learned DAWs...well, I learned Reason way back In 2.0
I still Miss stuff like Redrum, and THOR. Could be nostalgia talking but im insanely hyped about this!
Anybody know if sister sites keen yet?

"Fun" story. I wasn't gonna go bitch about this everywhere, but since there's a convenient opportunity. A little while ago Europa was offered at a discount on plugin boutique. I picked it up and found out later, through being unable to register a license with propellerhead, that it was discontinued (almost certainly to make room for reason rack/reason intro). I wrote to support too see wtf is up - he sent my a working serial number, but didn't tell me it was discontinued. When i found out on my own, I asked multiple times if I could get a crossgrade to reason intro, since Europa is more expensive, yet just one of 11 instruments contained in Reason Intro rack. Reason's support guy ignored the question multiple times. Told me to keep the e-mail with my serial because I can't register Europa to any account. Told me if lack of support/development is an issue i should as pluginboutique for a refund - this after waiting several days at a time for responses from propellerheads support.

Can't register my license. Can't get any sort of crossgrade. A product that was barely out one year before it was discontinued, and propellerheads won't extend any sort of offer or grace period to people who wasted money on a dead product.

tl;dr - fuck reason. I wish everyone else much joy of it, but in my experience, it's better not to give them a penny

I still have my physical, boxed installer for Reason 2.5. To this day I haven't been able to get used to the sequencing but the almost modular environment is awesome for FX and generating audio. I used to ReWire 6 through 10 into Live and Bidule and now I use the rack-plugin, albeit in DEMO mode. You can't open any saved Songs or use Rack Extensions but you can load your custom-made presets. This plus the fact you can save basically your entire rack (minus the Players) in a Combinator, you can recall your device states and routing somewhat effectively. Use your DAW to sequence and save sets and you're good.
Of course if you're constantly using it, buy it and avoid the hassle. It's funny to me how the instruments and effects in version 11 are virtually identical to 2.
