That's my philosophy too Mike and the picture you paint of the world we live in is sadly spot on and with the systems of surveillance in place at the moment around the globe I really worry what the future will look like. :(

On another note it never ceases to amaze me how many cool people I meet here every day. :mates:

Honestly in terms of the site I'm really here to serve you guys and not the other way around and I just want that to be known. The last thing I desire is control over anyone here, it's just that this place has rules like anywhere else. With the testosterone level in this field it tends to get crazy from time to time and there needs to be some kind of structure to prevent this forum from becoming Lord of the Flies or from attracting the wrong kind of attention. I really try to exert my authority as little as possible and I would even prefer it if people didn't think of admins with an us and them mentality. I've actually spent a lot more time trying to add something to everyone's experience here at the forums than I've spent enforcing rules, issuing warnings and banning members. I'm really a different kind of mod and hopefully in time you'll all agree.

If your referring to me, u can check my over 1000 posts, most of them trying to be helpful.

The last thing I 'wannabe' is a mod on any forum and my ego, well, its in 'just fine' standing.

Saying something about reading the rules has nothing to do with ego, what planet are you on?

So speaking of ass kissing, you can kiss mine.

OK enough now, can we please close this thread. I think Siteez should have the opportunity to have the last comment and then leave it as.

One Reason whether he's talking to you or not: you're a valuable member of this community, you add a lot to the mix and beyond that you rock. And that's all there is to that. :mates:

I don't think our newbie has seen any of this. He's probably playing around with Abbey Road Drums at this very moment!

Probably not but eventually he will. He could also have been referring to any of a few people on here. The reason I was confused was that he replied to my post. I think if people just loosened up and enjoyed all the cool things going on in these forums we'd all be better for it. This place should be a vacation not a job so why should there be all this tension and animosity? Don't we get enough of that in the real world? Life is too short. *yes*

No more confusion because I talked to SAiNT and basically everything is fair game except requests for software and links for warez. Let this never be an issue again. Oh and by the way One Reason your tireless work for the community hasn't gone unnoticed. I recently started a new initiative for contributors entitled Contributors In Need where you can have a chance at receiving an Uploaded.net coupon from a user that donates to that thread. Feel free to throw your name in there if you're ever in need of a coupon as you certainly deserve one. *yes*

So enough with the ass kissing for now... :dancing:

The point which got me upset in the first place was the fact that the topic was not conflicting with the rules, and people who are reading here on a regulary basis should know that, right?

SAiNT has said it before that warez related discussions are not forbidden, and why the heck should they be? I mean, come on - people enforcing rules they don't even know? *no*

And now back to the Albion hunt... :mates:

No ass kissing her as it's not my style, just a little thing called community. I actually meant to tell One Reason that for a while but I simply forgot and my initiative is fairly new. The man helps the forums a lot so he deserves it and it's really as simple as that. Anything that the other members said was an effort to help out the staff rather than an attempt to be mean. Honestly I appreciate their efforts because it let's me focus on more important things that demand my attention. And I would never enforce something that I was unsure of as it's not my style as well and I prefer to ask out of respect. It's obvious that general warez discussions are allowed but I wasn't sure when it came to helping bypass protection mechanisms. It's better to be safe than sorry particularly when it comes to someone else's work and even more so when that person is your friend.

In the future try to introduce yourself when you come to a forum before starting to ask questions as it would really help your position greatly and you would be surprised at the different experience you would be having now. You have to realize that we have people doing that all the time and many are just looking for an answer so they can take what they need from the community and often are never heard from again after that. Oftentimes they even walk in here with this attitude like we owe them something and it wears on everyone after a while. There's a user here named Sorgenkind whose first post was the epitome of what we're looking for. He introduced himself, made a joke and offered one of his songs as introduction. The man gets the utmost respect from me for that. I personally don't use Abbey Road 50s so I don't know how helpful I will be but I'll try and maybe some of our other members can chime in if they happen to know the solution. Are you using it with a legitimate version of Kontakt or a cracked version? If the answer is a legitimate version then you won't be able to load cracked libraries. Also many cracked applications will reset the trial period so there is a possibility that it may still be a full version that is stuck in a perpetual trial reset. Since I haven't had experience with the installation of this particular program I can't really advise you beyond that.

@Siteez I did answer your question (although in a round about way) but as I said in my original reply, if you search this forum board the answers are there. Kontakt is the problem. :mates:
