No im not justifying warez, they are, technically, wrong, illegal.
But you said she has no right to complain about the stolen crack, which is still a lie that can be pointed out, even if the framework is something illegal like cracking.
Thats what the herzog point was. If you claimed to have helped herzog steal a camera and got the admiration, someone who actually helped him could call you a liar and be mad about it. That the act was illegal wouldnt change that.
And its not the same as the cracker stealing from the company because there is no dishonesty there. They not saying they coded the plugin, they are saying heres my crack of the plugin of that company.
Again I am not justifying warez technically, just saying a cracker sure can complain about the dishonesty of someone else taking credit.

 

I don't agree with teams (R2R) claiming impossible things like "authorized/exclusive mirrors". It seems it was cash-mere case, though it's not totally comparable to R2R's complains.

But if it's true that Sunny uploaded valuable stuff lying about the cracker I think he should be banned. No matter if you're a thief or not. That's as low as it gets.

That being said, you Mac users shouldn't be afraid of losing cashmere's stuff. He will continue releasing it, here or in another site.

And please stop mentioning Herzog. It's not even funny. Of course someone who steals something and then has that something stolen can complain, but one has to marvel at the level of hypocrisy involved in whining about it.

Having said that, and particularly because I personally benefit from it, I somewhat admire those that can crack these things. I can't imagine that breaking these things is easy.

Lol I’m sorry but the warez drama is truly ironic for people who are uninvolved. It’s just a little bit like high school.

I’m not sure what kind of support was being tendered to cashmere, but I know the big name teams had always been staunchly against direct compensation for warez, even if, in best case scenario, the uploaders would reinvest the download payouts into helping them out.

The thing that people on here always ignore for convenience’s sake, or maybe just don’t see, is how directly a developers position mirrors someone like this cashmere, except probably far worse since beyond simply losing their time and effort, it’s their creation, ingenuity and livelihood being used in a way that’s completely against their wishes. I’m not making moral or value judgments here. Just observing a pretty funny juxtaposition.

That said, for as long as I’ve been around here sunny has always trampled on the toes of people who do the actual work, in the name of personal gain, and usually people thank him for it until the reversers get fed up, then everyone cries about how awful it is.

I’m not sure what integrals involvement is, but unless I’m thinking of the wrong guy I thought he was banned a long time ago. And I can vouch from first hand experience and a series of ugly, bizarre PMs that he is indeed full of shit. There was an integral and an intrinsic. One was pretty chill and the other was pretty much an utter shithead. If I’ve got you mixed up, my bad, but I don’t think I have.

 

I've released a few things on sister, (not under this name), and made sure I was in one frame of mind when I did ...Release unconditionally, with No expectations, just for the sake of sharing period. If you have that state of mind, then you'll never be disappointed Just everyone saying "Thank you", and giving everyone the opportunity to use something they might have never had the chance to is what made me happy

 

She did not say that, she just asked for support for the huge amount of time she spent on releases, never did she once say she would stop releases if people did not buy premium you are completely twisting her words to make her sound bad for no reason, what a sad little life you must lead

It has to be done to prove a point. Cashmere is no more, I am logging out after I post this comment and deleting my password from 1password.

That doesn't mean to say in the future I won't come back under a different name but that isn't in my plans at the moment and it would most likely be privately with people who have shown me support, I don't think I want to release publicly ever again.
