so what license system are they using? what is this Codemeter Rutime thing? (scroll down the link above and go to INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS)

has this method got cracked before? i just never saw it around, how does this compare to iLok?

CodeMeter is what Propellorheads Reason has been using for years and has never been cracked no. Its probably as strong as ilok, if not stronger, as ilok has been cracked in the past but Reason never has since its been using Codemeter protection.
Never say never, but dont hold your breath.

 

interesting, i wonder how they work and how much data does it send from your computer to the company servers and stuff and how often, and does it always run in the background? doesnt it take (a very small) some resources from the computer?
id rather use my ilok dongle instead of something constantly running in the background and sending information

 

As i know Vengeance sound (Nexus3, Avenger from the incoming version 1.5) has decided to switch to Codemeter protection.

 

Syncrosoft has been bragging like them, as i remember in the past days so H2O f*cked them up,correct me if i am wrong !!!!

And they made a USB emulator with licences, so basically the screwed them up and you could transfer licence to a USB !

I think also will happen to them, because as i read on the fly, their standards were to high and restricted time window was leading to failure to crack the code .... Most important thing was that they haved a prizes if they defeat protection.... What a nonsense!

For sure i believe on their contest, were not someone like R2R members or AiR etc, so maybe there were a hackers without a efficient knowledge about cracking software,
but they was there just for fun and maybe some pocket money to get ......
Who Knows... Maybe is a fake story, because no one was cracked REASON, because they SUCK!!!

But i believe that "the true pirate" would not sell them cracked protection, even if they have job done! That is a pirate code, i have that beliefs. .

As i remember, Cubase 5 has been cracked in thousand of hours, as AiR has wrote that in their statement.

The math is very simple, one month of constant working without sleep and pause, and that is little more than 700hrs. Now imagine how their work was hard!!! Thanks AiR !!! WE MISS YOU!!!

That was the case about Ilok, which was defeated years ago by Audiotopia, for some apps and R2R continued that on daily basis and years before, there was not so successful job with ILOK , maybe was, but that time i was not interested in Ilok stuff so i dont know much .

They, CM have given a good reason, to the teams to crack them, NICE AND SLOW , just to make a point!

THEY CAN BE DEFEATED !!!!

Anyways, WHO CARES!!! Right now I HATE THEM!!!

I believe,till now REASON is cracked but is locked in teams safes and waits for the right moment... WHO NEEDS A REASON !!!

For me personal it is not need to have Avenger or Reason, because we have all goodies already released, and Reason have that hype about VST RACK, but nevertheless it is not must have in my setup ....

And Avenger especially, because i was about saving money to buy it soon, but if they change protection,NO! I dont need no dongles anymore!

I have one, Steinberg and it is more than enough for me!!!
Luckily Steinberg, have a easiest way to install licence, comparing to an Ilok and that is a big benefit for me ...

I think that Vengeance will introduce that CM protection in Avenger v2 , which goes right after 1.5 update, which is free for existing users. That was Manuel Scheiss writing when Avenger was ONLINE on AZ!
Maybe i am wrong, but who cares for that update, we already have a most of expansions in our hands. F YOU GREEDY VENGEANCE!!!!

I am most of my free time on internet and here and on sister site, i am everyday reading that XFER Records have a good sales, from TEST warez users , and it is cracked a zillion times and is online on many sources and works without any glitches and i was not reading about Steve Duda was whining about or bragging about copy protection.
THANKS STEVE i will consider when i can to buy SERUM, just for sake to support you!

Impact Soundworks is 0day shared on sister site, and they still invest, a real money in developing new libraries, new recordings, new investments in Native Instruments legal stuff, etc.

And people who uses their software just for some moral thing will buy the software if they are making money from it ....

In my workaround i dont see people using Reason, they even dont mention it and why should, it is just a fancy crap... Still useless !!!

Cubase is standard, then Studio One, and FL Studio here and there, but the Cubase and S1 are the most selling DAWs in my community....

S1 does not have any fancy dongle, and is good with selling and it is freaking fast DAW, DEAR GOD i love when i launch the program and in next 10seconds i can start arranging....

Not to mention Reaper which is basically free, with their pricing and you can demo them as long as you can....


SO my conclusion is , screw CM, REASON AND VENGEANCE and reFX ,AutoTuneb !!!!
Especially Antares bastard they even didn't let you to test their software!!!! Chickens!!
