    This is funny.
I remember Studio One devs/coders were started by people who used to work at Steinberg, just like some devs/coders working on Bitwig Studio once used to work at Ableton. Fuse Audio Labs dev/coder once worked at Brainworx. Etc.

Without Coca Cola and Pepsi we wouldn't have Dr Pepper, Jolt Cola, etc.

It doesn't matter who copy what and from who.
The most important thing is to be comfortable with the tools you use to create some music.
All the rest is just some background noise, let's get back to what matters the most: make some music.

Studio One Is still years behind Cubase for features, just like Reason. I have owned and updated Cubase since 2004. Other DAWs may have a different workflow or a different way to generate creativity, But Cubase is still the tip of the Iceberg for Audio Software. I will admit I have never been a fan of there built in instruments, except for Halion and Groove agent (which are amazing). Yet the stock plugins are fantastic and keep getting better with every update. The problem with most people and DAWS is that since Cubase Pro has never been cracked people will not invest there money to learn features of the software. Also most people are also afraid to get under the hood of Cubase because of everything it is actually capable of. Cubase can be extremely overwhelming for most people....

Why they can't copy the price of Logic Pro X or Reaper ..... specially for homeuseres :winker:

New Cubase 10.5 PRO for $60 would be ok for me:rofl:

And why can't they copy copyprotections from Studio One as well.

Stop this plz. Steiny's first sequencer Pro 16 dates back to 1984 and it's practically as old as MIDI is. I was 18. Most likely you weren't even born and Presonus wasn't even an idea in Jim Odom's 23 y.o. mind. Not to mention a sequencer or DAW since Presonus would 've never developed such a complicated software if they didn't buy Kristal Labs who had already developed StudioONE sans PreSonus ownership.
Either way, too much fuss 'bout StudioOne that still exhibits the worse multi-threaded performance and after all these years still lacks a midi event list editor and SysEx dump/rec/play. For what it's worth i gotta hand it to Presonus' marketing, they keep developing subpar products in both hardware and software and selling them for top notch ones. Pass...

I though Studio One is a copy from all the other daws, especially Cubase xD
And good features will allways be copied, what's wrong with that?

If my memory doesn't fail me (and correct me if i'm wrong please) Fairlight's sequencer was the first to introduce the piano roll/grid style of illustrating recorded notes on the sequencer but i think it was more close to what a tracker software looks like. And yes, if i understood correctly what you said, piano roll and midi grid are sort of the same.

    Such as?

Oh really? Cubase is just another DAW like all the other ones

Reaper is the most complex DAW in terms of being tweakable. Although I don't user Reaper because the UI doesn't work for me, it has an IDE and a programming language inside!

    Nope.
All the other ones are like Cubase (and also Logic,DP, Cakewalk and the long forgotten Vision) and NOT the other way around. Because the beginning of computer based sequencing and DAW belongs to them. And before all, the first real DAW is the Fairlight CMI albeit an AIO integrated system (expandable though). You can't twist the facts to your liking.
Forfeiting facts is common all over the human history. I hate that shit. Who copies who please ? When Presonus will make a real fucking sequencer that can actually integrate with real hardware like any synthesizer, which up to now they haven't, then they will have only achieved what Steiny and C-Lab/E-Magic and Opcode etc did some 30 yrs ago. That is interactive communication with actual music gear, just so you know. It is a part of midi called System Exclusive Messages and it is initiated by a handshake based on each connected device's unique ID to start with. Those messages can be programmed and used to automate and facilitate incredible macros between (connected) devices since fkn 1984 or so.
Now i don't care if you are a pro or not, or if you ever heard of SysEx, no sequencer can claim to do MIDI without SysEx support as i already explained but you keep blabbering about things that are probably beyond your field of expertise and i'm being nice here. And yes i own Cubase but i also own Logic, AcidPro, Sonar/Cakewalk, Ableton Live, Samplitude and godam Pro fkn Tools, so i'm not a fanboy by any means.
Therefore your bitterly sarcastic "news" flash is just a bubble for kids like the guy who said "It looks better on high dpi display". Like anyone serious about their music ever cared about that sht.
    Cheers
Ps: Shadow Of The Tomb Raider looks better than Studio One on high Dpi. Yes i know it's a game. What is StudioOne again ?
