    Hey guys,

So, my internet speed is 35MB, which translates to 3,5MB/s download speed.

Today I've bought a game at the Epic Store (Red Dead Redemption 2), which is pretty big. 115GB.

The thing is, when I started downloading it, I was baffled by how fast it was downloading, about 12MB/s, which is way faster than my average internet speed.

I mean, even when I use super seeded torrents or super fast download links, my download speed doesn't get higher than 3,8MB/s...Suddenly, downloading from Epic Store it goes to 12MB/s?

I've never experienced something like that. Is there a simple explanation to this phenomenon, or Epic Store is cheating my ISP somehow?

    Thanks!

Heh...Why is 35MB translated to 3,5MB/sec. That doesnt sounds logical.
35Mbit/sec are about 4MByte/sec...but you twice wrote MB.

Why dont you simply do an internet speed test to see what your ISP delivers you?

    1 MB = 8 Mbit
    12 * 8 = 96 Mbit.
Is you internet maximum 100 mbit/s limited?
My internet is 100 mbit/s maximum, but usually it is up 4-6 MB/s according to torrents download speed etc. Never checked more. Maybe from some sites i can download at maximum?
Btw i am a Russian, some limitation maybe, in countries, between countries, outside the country, servers etc. I'm not an expert but usually it is either at 4-6 MB/s or at full maximum... Limitations probably... Limitations of sites, servers vs limitations of you internet speed vs your theoretically limited speed.... Need some info, but imho it is something like that...
