I have been considering a third couple of monitors to check my mixes with, and I have seen good reviews about Monkey Banana Turbo Series Monitors

    Any Feedback is welcome!
    even uninformed opinions!

Such a name (Monkey Banana) doesn't inspire me confidence...But maybe I'm wrong, maybe they are nice sounding.

I was quite attracted to this model as a second reference monitor too, and I've tried them some month ago (my main system are the APS Klasiks), but sent them back after a week... They are extremely boomy and lacks depth, everything sounds terribly flat (no way to check or set reverbs accurately on them). Low-end and hi-end are not too bad considering the price, but low-mids and hi-mids are really THAT bad.
Really disppointed by them, and since that time I've actually came across a lot of negativ reviews.

PS: Depending on your main monitor quality, I would consider the Avantone Mix Cubes to complement an already good setup, or, in the same price tag as the Bananas, the Focal Alpha65 which are waaaay better in every aspects.

Yes the name is funny, but they are made by germans and the specs are pretty impressive when compared with more expensive brands.

Banana6 turbo (blue) vs Dyn 7 (yellow)

I usually work with dyns and Adam. However I would like a smaller monitor to use outside the studio with the only task of revealing the mid bass(200-550hz) and punch (1khz).

some banging tracks sound very good when made with the dyns

Yes by watching the turbo specs I can tell you may have experienced some boominess which makes everything muddy and no def. Do you have bass traps in your studio?, probably there are problems with the 50-60hz which are kinda boosted on the bananas.
