Uninstall the version of KK that came with the S88. Make sure you get all the entries in all directories.
Install the k'd version. Add your Library locations and rescan in standalone KK before attempting to load in DAW.

I just looked at the image you uploaded and you WILL have to enable one of the S88's MIDI ports to control Kontrol. K?

Hmmm. Not so, here. But I stayed on Sierra, because I'd noticed strangeness with newer OSs when trying to help others out.
I can run lots of different versions of Kontakt!
    10.4.4 on Sierra.

Hey Pinkman! Thanks again... I'll follow your advice... Btw - just been writing using Kontakt 5 from Vienna Ensemble from my MacBook Pro in an ethernet network with my iMac that my tech guy set up for me last year. And guess what? The c'ed libraries - most of them still work if routing through VSL!!

Also - I tried to doctor the installation of the c'ed Komplete Kontrol, using a Kontakt Keygen I found on Rutracker, that creates serial numbers, System ID and Key. I did post a question on here asking for help, coz I didnt know if this info was the same as the HU and JDX numbers in the .nicnt file. But despite being super-careful about spacing/indentations it doesnt work... I've got Thomas Tempelmann's brilliant "Find any File" (way better than Spotlight) so I'll do a scour and delete any and all KK-associated files and folders, then install the c'ed version. Shit - yeah - forgot to scan KK, I remember now, I was pushed for time...

Hey! I've just been awarded a trophy! What a great idea for the website! I'll keep coming back! I'll have to - it's unlikely I'll ever be totally au fait with the tech side of all this. I have enough on my plate just getting the notes right!!

Quick question, if I may: Last night, I couldn't access Rutracker - they were down for maintenance, so I had to look elsewhere, as for some reason I must have deleted the version I mentioned before (that was 1.6.1 I think). So what I found instead is KK 2.1.6 on Mac-torrents, which I'm going to install now (cleared out everything relating to KK from the iMac), then as you say - run and scan it as a standalone before trying to use it in Logic Pro. I also found a Komplete 12. Would those two conflict with each other at all? And I'm assuming all the NI scanner apps, Native Access etc need to stay blocked by Little Snitch? The Komplete 12 notes say never update! That's sort of the problem with this - NI are ubiquitous, its very hard, at a certain point NOT to update - because we're forced to buy...

In fact,I was going to say - I was so incensed about this NI Monopoly hat I was going to try to find someone on the dark web, who could hack Kontakt once and for all. It would cost a bit of money I guess, but in the long run.. Also - I just hate it when I sit down to write, and end up spending hors fucking updating, installing, granting permission to etc etc ... its just, argh, at a certain point it makes you wanna go "fuck it," switch the Mac off, and reach for a music manuscript pad and a pencil - back to basics!!

I'm still quite new to this site - I must find a way to follow you, coz you've been really great in reacting (most don't which left me feeling a bit 'insecure!') so thank you again!

I'm Classicalbanksy across all social media, if you wanna get in touch outside of here!

    Cheers
