You can make them any size you want. Any batch rename/image resizer software would do.

In Studio Projects => Snapshots, you have 3 images (PNG files):

name.original
name
name.@2x

Search on your snapshots folder for .original images, select all and copy them to another folder.
Batch rename them (take .original out, so you end up with "name" only).
Batch resize them the size you want (in my case, 160 pixels wide).
Copy the renamed and resized files and paste/replace them into your snapshots folder.

The name of the image (PNG) MUST match the name of the the plugin (.dll) (I usually remove x64...).
You don't really need the .original nor .@2x sizes, so I usually delete them afterwards.
You can turn them on/off by clicking on the square on the top-right (show thumbnails).

Then restart Studio One, in order to work!

You'll probably have to rename some of the images to match your plugin.dll/image name.
They are just images. (no .json files), so don't worry...

I'm not sure i follow the idea here ;)
Why not make those snapshots straight from inside Studio itself with the "Update Plugin Thumbnail" command?

 

You can also resize the Stock plugin snapshots by going to the installation folder/Snapshots and you'll find 5 .package files. Open them with winrar and resize.

You'll have to do this with every update though.

 

You must "Update Plugin Thumbnail" first, then change the thumbnail size...
Because plugins GUI's differ in sizes. This way you can have them the size you want (all the same size-width), as in the image above.

Okay then, maybe someone likes this, I've got it, so why not share it here...

If you want Studio One Stock plugins/instruments etc thumbnails resized to a width of 160px..... Here it is..

1. Unrar
2. Overwrite the "Snapshots" folder in C:\Program Files\PreSonus\Studio One 4 with the one in the .rar
3. Done...

* Backups are included, but it's always a good to backup your 'Snapshots' folder somewhere. You never know.
* Almost all thumbs look okay, but some are a little blurry because they had to be upscaled to fit a width of 160px. But it's not bad, maybe you won't even notice it..
* I use version 4.5.1, plus all possible addons, but it makes no difference when you've got 4.5.3 or a previous version. As long as it's version 4.
* These .package files are just archives somewhat similar to .rar files. Nothing difficult..





* This is a dual monitor screenshot. I have Studio One full-screen in windows stretched across two monitors. check and zoom the right side of the image

Make sure you have a backup copy. They are deleted every time you update Studio One.
