Hy guys. So i hope can help me.
I have a usb lexar 32 gb but my i "windows 7 ultimated dont take usb.
I listen sound ( when i put usb ) but, dont find in " disk mananger". But i see in device mananger..whit name " Masive usb".

the problem started when i use this pendrive for " Readybost". One day i try format ( i dont quit readybost)
and pedrive says; Only read, i quit usb, and put again, and never see again in disk.

I try looking in disk part ( no found). This can solution? usb broken? or any idea whats happeng? thanks!

Tengo un Usb Lexar de 32 gb, lo habia usado para readybost, un dia lo intento formatear ( sin destildar la opcion de readybost) y me decia solo lectura. Y no me dejaba formatearlo, luego lo saque lo intente poner de nuevo, y de ahi nunca mas lo vi en "mi pc", tampoco en la parte de " administrar discos".la unica señal de vida es que hace ruido cuando lo pongo y lo veo en administrador de dispositivos como " Usb masivo de almacenamiento".
intente actualizar el driver, pero dice que ya esta el mejor driver, intente buscarlo en disk part, pero tampoco, use una app "easeus" pero tampoco lo veo alli.
Tendra alguna solucion? o alguna idea de lo q pasa. Muchas gracias!

 

do you have another computer you can try your pendrive on?

With your usb stick plugged in, go to Administrative Tools/System Management/Disk Management. If you can see it there, right click on it will let you format your Lexar usb thumb drive, so Windows can see it as a regular usb drive.

No.i cant see in there..only in decive like " usb masive " and i listen sound when conect.
Other think rare is..if i try restart pc whit usb, mt pc freeze ..i need quit usb.
And light usb freeze all time.
The problem stared when im used this usb like speedbooster. Then...i quit usb and try fromat but say " only read " . And then never see again in disk mananger

 

I see... If you were using your Lexar for Windows Ready Boost, well.. WRB is known to kill usb sticks because it keeps re-writing the same blocks on a stick's nand flash. Better save money and get an ssd mate.

@ryck Argentino eso se soluciona facilmente. Esto es lo que tienes que hacer. It is an easy fix. Just follow each step as written. This will fix it.

1. Plug your USB drive.
2. Open CDM as Administrator
3. Type DISKPART into the Command Prompt and press ENTER
4. Type LIST DISK and press ENTER. It will show all the connected drives including your USB. The newly connected USB drive should be the last on that list. Or you can find it by looking at the size of the different drives.
5. Type SELECT DISK plus the number assigned to your USB. For example, if it is DISK 3 you will type SELECT DISK 3. Press ENTER.
6. Type ATTRIBUTES DISK and press ENTER. It will show the current attributes of the drive. If the current read-only state shows "on" it means the drive is read-only.
7. Type ATTR DIS CLEAR READONLY. It will remove the current read-only state.
8. Type ATTR DIS again. It will show the change.
9. Type EXIT to exit the Command Prompt.

You can copy and paste each command from my text.

 

@The Pirate i wouldn't have thought about going command prompt about this, even after a day or two
And it is the best way to do this, if the thumbdrive has any chance, this is it.
PS: Yeah i know it should be obvious but DOS is like my 20 yo old backups, on hold 'till emergency ...

Anyone with windows MUST have a list of DOS commands and learn how to use them. Everything in Windows can be solved by using them. Indeed, everything in Windows is solved BY implementing them one way or another.

 

Hola pirate como andas che !! Jajaja.
Ya lo hice.pero diskpart no lo reconoce. No aparece como disco. Sólo aparece en administrador de dispositivos como usb masivo. Y hace ruido cuando lo conecto u desconecto. Pero insisto. No aparece en discos ni en diskpart.
Intente reinciar la pc..para intertar un disco de Windows y desde ahi formatear . Pero con el pendrive puesto no renuncia. Se queda congelado. Y las luceces del pendrive no paroadean...se queda la liz fija todo el tiempo.

 

Yes..DOS save " my life ". When for accidenty im delete part of sistem ( reserve system) .

Not pirate. Dont see like a disk in " diskpart" . And how i can assing if dont appear ?

Pd: only appear in device administrator. Like "usb massive " . Im try udpate driver...uninstall and install again...but nothing.

Did you uninstalled and reboot after the update?

 

Try this on a Mac, then it should work fine on Win7 too.

Yes i do it. And cause " readboosty" maybe still whriten in usb ( i think) i desactive service of readyboost...but dont works
