Hi guys. I'm downloading a 40gb library and I'll probably use 1/4 of its instruments. Is there a way to discover which samples belong to what instrument and delete them?
Whenever you delete an instrument it isn't attached to its samples so you don't really gain much space.

    Thanks for any help!

You'd have to look in the Wave Editor to see what's being used.

As Pinkman says. But be careful and verify that the samples are not used in another instrument that you want to keep before deleting.

yeah, i don't know if i would play that game... it can be hard to tell in some of those mega libraries what is what and where. I would hate for you to delete some sample that was also used in something else, as with the layering and whatnot... you'd have to really examine the single instruments you want and take note of the samples... and i think your time on that is worth more then hard drive space you know?

Thank you for helping guys. I think I'll keep the whole library since the task seems a bit risky and tedious.

One way to find out is to delete the nkis you don't want, then move the samples folder to another location and batch re-save. This should give you a list of missing samples you need.
