Sorry if there is a similar threads somewhere, I didn't find it.

I'm using waves cracked bundles since years and I wanted to try ABBEY ROAD STUDIO 3 few weeks ago... I downloaded the demo version with waves central and stuff... Biggest mistake...

Of course I have lost all of my waves cracked plugin.

Finally I won't use Abbey Road Studio, so I tried to delete every waves files I found but now, even if I don't know where it come from, every time I want to use my old waves plugin in Logic Pro, a waves message tell me that there is no valid licence for this plugin etc...

I tried to reinstall the all cracked package, but same problem...

Can someone help me please ?

Each time when i wanna uninstall "pain in the ass" programs, i use a uninstaller app like "CleanApp" on Mac, which dig deeply into your hard drives to find traces of apps you don't want anymore.

It must certainly have windows equivalents, just do a search with the keyword "uninstaller". Perhaps, to be sure, you'll have to reinstall your waves demo, then uninstall with the uninstaller (do a full, deep scan of your HDs, see and adjust the settings of the uninstaller if needed).

In other words: i don't use official uninstallers (in windows: "Appwiz.cpl") instead, i use a specialized app which do the job far much better.

and here lies your problem, by your own admission you've been using these cracked plugins for years. It has never been the intention of cracking groups to provide you with a lifetime supply of free stuff, the whole ethos of these groups has always been one of "try before you buy". Years ago the expensive nature of waves plugins may have put off alot of people from doing the right thing, but these days they are on sale every other week for $29 each often with even further discount if you buy more than one. Im afraid the whole warez scene has been in ethical decline for many years now and most users have developed a fantastical level of entitlement

The problem isn't the cracked version but the legit version of waves/waves central.
First make a backup of the status quo.
Then you should delete every and all bits of information of waves stuff from your computer. And if it's not easy, that's intended by Waves ;)
Search for files named anything with "*waves*" and inspect directories where such files exist.
If there is something like the registry in Windows on your Mac you should clean it as well.
Of course you can use tools for uninstalling Waves as @SoundLanguage said, but in the end you may need to do some research and cleaning by yourself, as sometimes those tools don't find all remainders automatically.

Only when you are sure nothing is left from Waves, try to install a cracked version again.

And next time, do youself a favour and make a backup before carrying out any bigger changes to your machine

Well I tried my best to delete every waves files... By myself or with the help from soft like app cleaner...

But still, Waves won't let me use my old plug haha... Can't blame them !

Now it depends on how deeply you need your Waves installation.
At a certain point it is more complicated to find an error on a defective machine than to reinstall it.

If the config of your machine isn't too complicated, I would suggest to perform a fresh install of the whole computer. Otherwise you won't get happy again. At best you have a backup from before the Abbey Rd studio installation.
It may be some hours of work but it's worth the effort to have a clean starting point.

And this time: backups every other week mate

 

just open nfo file (or readme, or instruction etc.) from cracked release and you will see something like thet:
- delete previous version with uninstaller
- manually delete this files and folders: blah blah blah
- run regedit and delete: blah blah blah
.......

just follow this instruction and you'll be happy.

I think I've seen The Pirate mention Revo Uninstaller for Windows in the past when it comes to doing clean uninstalls. Might be worth a try.

As OP mentioned Logic Pro in his first post, Windows uninstaller utilities may not help him much if he's on Mac.

It takes more time, but the best uninstallers are the ones that take a system "snapshot". You take a "snapshot" before the install, then another after the install, then compare them. That way you can be sure to remove every file and registry key the install created.

As i said earlier, for mac i could recommend CleanApp. You could easily find it on t0rr3nt. Of course it should exists plenty of others that do the same job, but I was simply too lazy to search. I use this one since a pair of years, it does its job very simply, no headache.

 

There used to be an uninstaller in the /Applications/Waves folder but it doesn't look like its there anymore. Just wiped my Mac this weekend so this is an up to date legit install too.

Just remove /Applications/Waves, /Library/Application Support/Waves, and then any of the actual plugins and any files in /Library/Preferences and ~/Library/Preferences that might be hanging around. The actual licensing files are in the /Library/Application Support/Waves folder. Don't forget its going to have plugins in both the VST and AU folders as well as the Waveshells that run them.

Thats everything Waves installed on your system. No clue what this whole new Keygen/crack business is they come with now, before I bought all mine this past year (those $29 sales are fucking EVIL) I used the same old K'd Waves License Engine Ive been using for a few years and it worked perfect. Install what you want from Waves Central, copy the K'd engine over, working Waves everything. It even survived the update from v9 to v10 and kept working like nothing happened heh.
