Ive been trying to find a decent pre made but i don't need the suped up GPU that comes with high performance PC.
I have never built my own pc before.
Id be willing to try if the PC would smash my 2017 imac.

This is what i got so far.. If you guys see any room for improvment or errors or problems i may run into please let me know.
Im expecting this to handle projects better then my 2017 i5 24gb imac.

Put most my money into the Processor and Ram.. No video card im ok with that.

To throw my current thoughts out there, I'm looking at asus z390 pro, ryzen 5 3600 6core, imo no need for more then 32gb (if that) ram, I'm intrigued by your case though because it's cheap and looks sufficient. I'm going for hacky but same ideas I think. Ryzen might be cheaper and better then Intel no?

Since I noticed your CPU, I'll post my setup. I went non-OC for coolness and quiet.
I have a lot invested in hard drives (about $800) and my total is $1962 for this setup for comparison.

So, in other words, you will leave your 2017 i5 (4core/4threads) iMac to buy a 2017 i7 (4core/8threads) pc. Now how smart can that be...:hahaha:
The difference in cpu performance will be a staggering 10%-15%.
I'll stop teasing you now man. Buying almost 3 year old parts for a price that resembles current gen hardware is ... you fill the word here lol. Even the i5 is 6 core now so you need to get your game up, so read on.
1200 dlrs+monitor included, won't smash a decent 3 year old machine. But something like what i 'll post will have about double the performance of what you selected. My selection at 1438 dlrs is about 200 more expensive, but i 've got a much better case, bigger psu, much more capable cpu, slightly faster ssd, 2tb hdd instead of 1tb, a dedicated graphics card with 4gb and a 75hz monitor that has double the resolution of yours. Nope. Pass the doobie here too please, you 've had enough. Z390 is an Intel chipset. Ryzen is AMD and not compatible with any Intel chipset. For Ryzen 3 series you are looking for mobos like X570,X470,B450 etc.
And yes, current gen of Ryzen cpus is better than the equivalent offerings from Intel, when u know what you are buying, which seems you don't, but perhaps i am mistaken :D
Ps: The case you are asking is a cheap build. Not bad for the money but lacking in thermal performance, and space for future expansion, build quality is debatable too.
