Hold your fire a moment. This is getting out of context and the guys at Meldaproduction are the firsts to blame.

Remember that although they're trying to convince end users, the big problems is for them to develop their plugins. Not that it doesn't seem a fact since a couple years that Apple is doing things bad for the users both on iPhones and Macs, but this rant is clearly biased even if they're mostly right. Also, if developers all over the world are complaining that's bad because it means only the wealthy companies can be at the edge of Mac programming and in the medium run the users pay the mess.

When you make a fresh install of Windows 10 you just have to uninstall 4 or 5 crappy apps if you wish, but if you don't do that it's actually not a big problem, your computer will still run smoothly.
Windows 10 works very well,It's fast and reliable for audio production,I don't understand people uninstalling Windows 10 for switching on W7,it's a nonsense.

As a win7 user since it came out for general purpose and studio work, I was stuck with win 10 home on my newly bought laptop (it's running linux now] and found it just about unusable on my low bandwidth connection. If I needed to do something important like banking I would have to boot it well in advance so it could update, report back with all my data and use my upload bandwidth to update other win 10 sufferers. After trying various win 10's over the years to use in the studio I always ended up going back to win 7 due to various issues......until win10 enterprise LTSC. I have been running this for a few weeks now and have to say that it is the least intrusive and slick version so far. When you turn things off, they stay off!. I am truly hoping that this is THE ONE. As for Mr Melda using ' home' , I expect he is using a bit of poetic license there.

couldnt agree more. apple do not value their customers at all, but they dont need to because their machines are trendy. for example you are not allowed to take your machine to be repaired by anybody who does not charge sucker tax, and the sucker tax is HIGH.

a few years back my daughter needed a new phone and she fought very hard for an iphone. when asked what it was about the iphone that she wanted so badly she had no answers. the real answer was, of course, that it was a fashion statement.

If I have to install Windows again LTSC version would be the ONE. Right now I have Windows 10 Home which I have tweaked to my liking, but those unwanted updates is still a problem that I want to eliminate. Also my Windows 10 Home has been cloned, repaired and restored many times. So sooner than later I have to reinstall Windows to get a fresh start again. I use Ableton a lot and sometimes people tells stories about 70000 Ableton entries in the registry...no wonder why things gets screwed up over time

That's the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard in a very long time mate, go and have a word with yourslef XD
On another note I simply don't use PC for 2 reasons:
    1. - I can't stand the look of it, Hardware or Software and I don't even care how much you think its better than OSX
    2. - I have being working as a music producer for more than 20 years and I have never, ever walked into a commercial studio facility that hasn't got a Mac. PERIOD.

I almost bought a mac with student loan money a few years ago. instead I built a pc for about 500 euros with an i5 intel, 16gb of ram and it's the least of my musical problems. i'm so glad i didn't buy into the apple nonsense (pic related.) the main problem musically these days is not the technology being good enough, it's whether the idea is good enough.

while this line of debate is tired and fruitless, as zealots will stay on their sides... to each their own.

I have a cheese grater 4,1 that I bought over a decade ago. It is still my main machine and purrs like a baby. I've just added a few things here and there over that time, but the ~2k plus a little$ I have spent on it, I have gotten plenty of value out of it without question.

I really really wanted to avoid implicating myself again in such a discussion. But i can't:deep_facepalm:

What's that ? Man, u r talking vanilla Windows in a forum full of power users. Nobody sticks with vanilla Win OSes unless they are complete noobs. Even for noobs, there's a buttload of free apps to minimize or completely get rid of MS telemetry etc etc.
As for Apple, they have their own telemetry too, so spare us the rant 'bout ads. Apple declared they collect data of how you use your device (and not what you do and store like MS). I should quote here that i use my Macbook as a clipboard. I mean wth, yes we collect the data but not "your" data thingie? Sure, until they decide they collected enough to put it to good use since they have only 14-15% in the comp market share atm... Hmm this reminds me of the Inception movie. A dream within a dream within a dream.

    https://www.cultofmac.com/
Yes they are. Spin the clock 30 years back and i'd say outright, yes WE are. Because we were unconventional, forward looking, futuristic thinkers, innovative creators, leftfield writers, the whole lot. And the Mac united us all under one umbrella.
What's left now? What we were back then, gave way to nepotism, totalitarian capitalistic practices and the majority of us became the new system just to replace the old system. One of the same really...
And nowadays macsters ? A bunch of uptown college graduates spending daddy's money. Got any doubt ? Just spend a couple of hours in an Apple store...

Nope. Nobody's paying for macOS man. Serious users do Hackintosh, drama queens, fashion victims and ignorants buy a Mac thinking they 're buying an Apple product whereas they buy an overpriced pc with macOS. I will remind Steve Jobs quoting Alan Kay :
"People who are really serious about software should make their own hardware".

I don't understand, are you an Apple product? Oh i forgot you are a user that implies is not a "soy infused hipster". And then you go on with all your power-userness to compare the finder to explorer. Now this shows some great insight and advanced computing skills.
Jokes aside, the only third world point of view i see here, is yours mate. Oh and criticizing third world residents as having a sort-of-inferior-status doesn't show enough intellect, and you going to judge someone else's intellect just because his written word is plain, makes it even worse for you mate.

You quoted some guys saying this and that and you just say things without presenting any data, argument or reason. How is it better ? Finder vs Explorer equals 0. They both display the file structure and contents of your comp in a similar tree fashion. Same sht different app. If it's any consolation to my liking are the colour tags on macOS and i 'd love to have these on Windows. I won't lose sleep over this though hehehe.

    You mean these guys?
    Apple Store India.jpg

I hear you and this is very serious. I mean Cubase and the plugins look totally different on macOS, don't they mr. "20 years Producer"...
Oh and that Surface Book 2 looks like sht with that detachable touch screen compared to Macbook Air, right ? I mean if you want a touch screen you 'll buy an iPad right? And if you want a comp that 'll be a Macbook. Hybrid machines are incompetent surely, right? Especially when they have the much hated Win logo on 'em. Sleep tight mate.

Tsskk tsssk tssskkk. You forgot Pro Tools. Mac & Pro Tools.
You must have started producing at -10 y.o. because this is on the verge of silly really. Of course you may be going to the very same studio for 20 years. Np man, loyalty is gold.
