Watch this carefully. It is not about your plugin or your Analog gear that you swear by. It is about your ear and how much you know about the science of audio processing.

Don't say again that Waves plugins are bad sounding and noisy or Ozone is awful or your analog gear is damn good. If you know how to use a tool, you can make good sounding mixes with it.

This is so true, ozone is pretty much a Swiss army knife of clean useful tools that keep getting better, but like anything that gets a lot of hype it becomes fun to poke fun at. Just ask Slate:like:

This guy is great and has a very informative youtube channel. The truth is that we dont need the "top" plugins ... Its a lot of fun to check new plugins, vstis, virtual amps, and all kind of these stuff ! Thats it ! The problem is that some guys demand new C.E. softwares and can't continue their lives without whinning about not getting anything new... Its a difference between having a good time cheking out new sh*t and be needy about new things "that are gonna make your mix sound cool" ( We can all agree that good plugins and/or equipment may result to good sound quality but experience is the way to achieve great mixes!!! )

He calls himself professional but his very bad video edits make him look like an amatuer.

Ofcourse it´s an attempt to get customers for his training/ course.
But i agree with what he says.
For example, i use plugins from 2007. Even some free ones.
I have tools for any occasion or problem that i know through and through.
Some plugins sound very good in one place and bad in others.

My 2 cents: Educate yourself about how your plugs work. Always mix to reference tracks.

What you say can be true, but sometimes that "poke fun at" is very justified.

I still have a computer from 2002 with plugins that are no longer on the market. I also enjoy using the Variety of Sound/ Bootsy plugins which are free and sound very good. However, and some people may disagree with me on this, but I was never sold on using reference tracks.

I think he is highly skilled and knows what he is talking about, respect for that. I also generally agree with him. But this video was just so annoying. I get it, you want to sell your course, or your product. So promote it once or twice in your video like everyone else. But this guy, he brings up his course so often in this video, must have been seven or eight times? I stopped counting. And it's not just a short sentence. He keeps talking for minutes about what he does in his course. Turned me off from watching more of his videos, I can't stand marketing like this. If you are confident about your product then gently nudge your potential customers towards it and don't shove it in their face.

    "Highly skilled"... This guy, really?
What makes this guy so good? What has he mixed or mastered or recorded? Is he selling his course in the start, middle and end of his video? (yes he does). Does this guy make a living from mixing, or from selling courses because nobody will hire him?
Is this guy WAISTING our TIME and filling our heads with stupid advice like "DON'T EVER USE A MULTIBAND LIMITER?" sadly yes...

Did you even watch the video?

He clearly described why you shouldn't use a multiband limiter. The reason is that a multi-band limiter changes the balance of mix in a random manner, which should be avoided in the mastering phase.

Please watch his videos before judging.

They strongly disagree but they don't give any valuable argument. It's so easy.

Of course I did. His argument falls flat on its face because each part in the signal chain alters it in one way or another. Single band limiters change the balance of the mix. The air humidity and the weather outside changes the balance to your mix :P

Did you read my post? What has this guy done professionally to warrant a 150$ course / month, for 9 months?

As I understand it, the courses he offers are 1on1 via skype.
