So Log Apple Logic Pro 10 is not better than Emagic Logic Pro 5?
Messing around with Pro 10 on a Macbook Air A1466 (mid 2014) that my son gave me.
Amazed by the improvements. Good sound without effort. Similar to Reaper in features.

Tonal difference is like quality FM radio compared to CD for me.

Yes arguments about which is better overall can be a bit much but, there are inherent differences between everything audio. Analog or digital.

it’s amazing how it’s almost end of 2019 and we still have these

Clearly he’s a troll but he could also have just discovered the world of audio engineering just recently...

I don't know what the best DAW is, but I sure as hell know what the worst one is by a country mile: Pro Tools. Artificially-restricted track count for both audio and MIDI, the worst pricing plans in the business, overpriced mandatory (in the case of PT HD/HDX) hardware that really doesn't sound any better or worse than interfaces a quarter of the price, proprietary plugin formats that restrict usability and drive up the cost of any software plugs by developers who have to code for the AAX format or lose customers -- terrible. Even the pros are starting to finally turn on it.

Imagine any other DAW -- Logic, Reaper, Live, name one -- that announced tomorrow you could only record and play back 32 audio tracks and 64 MIDI tracks at the highest-possible sample rate, and that you would have to shell out $400 a year or lose your software license, or pay $200 a year to subscribe to (not own) it, and that if you wanted the truly spiffy version, which let you record and play back a few more tracks and gave you a few more bundled plugs, you'd have to pay around $2000 for a proprietary SATA card or special Thunderbolt interface that acted the same as the SATA card, plus another $1,000 just for the software (and $800 a year every year after that, or lose your permanent license), plus then buy an uber-expensive proprietary audio interface from that company OR a third-party interface that's hundreds of dollars more expensive than it would normally be because it has to have a special input and output that only works with that company's proprietary SATA/audio output. You would never use that fucking software, and neither would anyone else. That company would go out of business in a month.

Enjoy putting that one hipster repairman left in your town/city/county/state that can still repair your tape deck and knows how to get ahold of that out-of-production op-amp you'll need to "kind of" get it working again for another week's kid through college!

There is a long time without any problems about a DAW Vs another.
What is your goal with this thread exactly?
I can foresee that the result will be the contrary of your statement.

Yeah, I give FL Studio users a lot of crap.
    Fruity lil bastards... hehe
One of wich being one of my very good friends. He makes stuff same quality, just as good sometimes better then me on PT or Logic

It's very true. Plugins, Plugins is what we should argue about.

Speaking of.. Anyone have a alternative to the Fab Q3 in how it functions.
The SSL EQ functions a lot in the same with, with adjusting bands and such but No crk, and already at my limit for subscriptions lol

Reaper is the best and is underated and no need for advertising
Live is the worst and is overrated because of a big marketing team with lot of girls and fake artists, it sounds bad and arrange view sucks, that's why it need so much advertising, good products don't need advertising
Logic sucks because last updates can't run it on my old imac stuck on El capitan,
Tracktion is the best for poof crashes to desktop
    Cubase : dongle
Studio one black lists my plugins and has no midi event editor.

A poll about the best DAW could be a nice helping hand to choose the right DAW for both newcomers and seasoned creators. Say that Cubase, Ableton and Studio One get the most votes, at least you know that those three DAW's are well liked. Don't see any "problems" with that
