I was researching all morning about cracked versions of plug ins and stumbled across your name several times and noticed how helpful you are. I tried to message you but it is limited (completely understandable), do you mind messaging me or something? I haven't downloaded anything yet but I have a few questions before I do.

I cannot get Omnisphere 2 to install on Windows 10.

It is probably my fault or my ignorance but if I do not ask then I will not learn and I posted here as this thread exists and it has been mentioned that there are too many Omnisphere threads.

I have been at this for over 12 hours now (sad but true) before posting here and asking for help. I recently did a fresh install of Windows 10 (previously on Windows 7 x64) so I am having to reinstall all of my music apps.


This is what I have tried so far:

1.

I tried to install V2.0 Proper R2R by using their Installer on DVD 1.

Start the installer, DESELECT the 32 Bit Plugin option, and click next > accept the default 64 bit install path (C:\Program Files\Steinberg\vstplugins, click on next > Change the STEAM folder path to my VSTi data drive D:\Spectrasonics, click on next > On the ready to install page click on "Install".

The "Install" button turns pale blue and is then un-clickable further. I left it sitting like this for about 30 minutes before checking and it is not installing, it has frozen. When I installed previously on Win 7 the install started straight away.

The Cancel button does nothing and the only way I can exit the installer is to Ctrl + Alt + Delete and stop it using Task Manager. Within task manager it says that the running installer is 32 Bit?

I have tried running it as Admin and in 32 Bit Compatibility mode but I get the same result, It freezes.


2.

I then tried installing just the Omnisphere Software 2.6.2c which installed but I was not given the option to install the steam library from the DVDs. The V2.6.2c DLL installed OK so I ran the R2R V2 keygen and it successfully patched the DLL's in Program Files (the VST Plugin) and ProgramData (the Standalone). If I then open the VSTi version in either Cubase or Studio One to then try to apply the Challange Code Omnisphere crashes and closes?


If I try to apply the Challenge Code in the standalone version, as long I am very quick with my mouse clicks I can get the Auth code accepted even though I ran it as admin.


One this is done if I then open Omnisphere I get various error messages:

"STEAM Folder not found. Would you like to locate it?"

I select no as I have been unable to install the steam folder as there is no option to do so using v2.6.2c installer then I get...

"Error... is not a valid STEAM folder" so I click ok and it again asks for a STEAM folder and so we go around in circles.


3.

I tried the R2R install again and this time I right clicked and went into security tab and set Full Permissions for every account, selected compatibility mode and ran it as a Admin.

This time the installer ran and asked me to insert Disk B.


I use DAEMON Tools Lite so I mounted the Disk B DVD and clicked OK But.....

now it just sits there doing nothing (1 hour & 8 minutes & counting)


When I installed Omnisphere on Windows 7 it installed first time and perfectly. The DVDs were mounted and read quickly so 68 minutes sitting there on just 1 DVD is not right.

I have not cancelled it yet as I am waiting for advice here!


What am I doing wrong?

Recently installed Omnisphere 2 on new home system after October Windows 10 update. Everything installed ok.
Started from Dynamics release. applied included updates, applied all Patch Library, Software & Soundsource updates in order. Patched files as instructed & launched DAW to start activation process. Activation sometimes require multiple tries before it sticks.

On a related note, peace and blessings to you, good sir Pirate. A couple months ago I grabbed your Ominsphere 2.6 via the torrent link (extremely appreciated, as I haven't bought a file sharing account of any sort yet). Followed the instructions to a T, and guess what.. it worked. The key is definitely reading and doing everything exactly as instructed. Only small issue I had is I almost missed removing the word " - shortcut" from my STEAM shortcut when creating that. All good though.

 

Why would you say something like that. Try first, instead commenting BS.

Where are the statistics for this torrent? To say NOBODY seeded it is a dis-service to those that did seed. It may be that the majority did not do their fair share. If anyone knows, the Pirate may know what the actual numbers are. I can tell you that I seeded the torrent (along with Keyscape and Trilian) for a few months, because that's how long it took to get my ratio to at least 1:1 with a very weak upload speed.

 

Still talking BS. Omnisphere 2.6 (The Pirate) was not exclusive the link is still up and available with over 80 working seeds.

Who's server it is, I have no idea but I downloaded it yesterday in a hour and half. So definitively not dead.
